3 things required, internet, smart tv and Newley renovated. All not as advertised , we are Currently in dispute with the owner over a ruined Christmas week stay. Before arriving I had read the last review on the no internet, therefore I was fixated on this on arrival. When we arrived, the BT box is blinking orange, The internet doesn’t work, I ended up calling the owner to address the router issue, her response was simply to “turn it off and on again.” Explained one had done this ample times. Well nothing I can do was the response. Therefore I went through the booking company, who couldn’t get her to take responsibility either—she just washed her hands of the situation. I should have asked to be released but as it was Christmas, we had a disabled dog & travelled 4 hours. Where else am I going, so we tried to make the most of it. But Then you start to notice the building feels like it’s subsiding—you generally will feel like you’re walking on a boat, extremely slanted floors and all the doors slam shut on their own. Most of the walls, doors, and ceilings have cracks, the description stating this place “newly renovated” is very misleading, they even tried to say “it’s just settlement” after the makeover. We also ran out of gas half way through , luckily we noticed in the day and it got replaced quickly. Otherwise no heating or hot water. Our last few nights, we had violent scratching and squealing in the roof above the fireplace, shower room and main bedroom, rats or birds? . With all the issues we had, we documented this daily to the booking company and they forwarded it to the owner. Who has completely dismissed our concerns and just keeps saying the last guests didn’t mind. Therefore I’m leaving this review to ensure no one else makes the mistake of staying here. If you need working internet and undisturbed sleep, make sure all these issues above have been resolved before booking.

Delightful and surprisingly roomy hut. Clean and comfortable with the addition of a hot tub just outside. Delicious cheese scones, whole lemon drizzle cake, butter and pint of milk were waiting for us on arrival. Very comfortable large bed. Breakfast is available 8-9am to buy at the farmhouse which we tried the first morning. Good choice and both our options were tasty. I believe you can pre-order afternoon tea. Be aware to only open the windows with mesh covers otherwise you will be swarmed with flies. Itâs on a farm so I was woken by roosters at 5am and there are plenty of tractors going past. Adds to the charm but perhaps not for those on a working trip. Itâs obvious from the pictures but bring walking boots. Could do with a manual. We asked for the WiFi code so could log into tv apps etc on the large tv. Would have been easier if we could turn down the temperature rather than having to open the windows. Also wardrobe/hanging room could be improved with more than one hanger falling off little hooks. There is a remote that we could not work out what it was for - apparently the wicker lamps. My other half mentioned that he hoped the owners would add a hardstanding so cars donât get stuck in the mud. It looks like there are development plans on site. We had a lovely holiday and visited Norwich, Cambridge, Kings Lynn and Thetford. Would definitely stay there again.

. Cooker door does not close so unable to use. Impacted our holiday as my husband is disabled and unable to eat out. This is despite owner getting feedback about this on 13th September. This should have been rectified. 2. The shower over the bath leaks flooding the floor near the toilet making it a real hazard for the elderly or disabled. Again this impacted on our holiday as we were only able to use the ensuite is small for a disabled person. After the cleaners arrive a day early a plumber was called but said he could not rectify the situation. This happened late morning the day before we were due to leave! Had we been aware of these 2 problems we would not have booked this property and are left feeling disappointed. We wonder if Sykes monitor the state of their rental properties because although this property looks good on line it's a tired and is definitely needs refurbishment.

Great stay at Owlets. Probably one of the best holiday lets we have stayed in. The close proximity to Heacham Manor Hotel made up for the one mile walk to the nearest shops and pubs. The walk to the beach took 15 minutes across the Golf Course and a further 10 minutes to the promenade. In fact we walked the whole way to Old Hunstanton and a wonderful sandy beach with dunes. Took the little train back to Hunstanton and the bus which stopped right opposite Owlets. Owlets with its modern well equipped open plan kitchen and living area was a perfect space to keep an eye on our Grandkids and the stair gate a sensible place. The little back yard with parasol, seating and BBQ became a nice winding down haven. Parking for two cars right outside the back door away from the road also meant we had no worries getting the kids in and out safely. Great stay good attentive owners.

A lovely cottage on the edge of a holiday park, the garden was enclosed, with a 4ft fence. Our dogs loved chasing each other around. The hot tub was great, but could have been hotter as we went mid-Oct so you noticed the cold air and the water cooling if you stayed in for a while. We couldn't get the WiFi to work, despite numerous attempts, but as there were no instructions, we weren't sure if it was something we did or didn't do correctly, so we were unable to watch any digital channels not necessarily a bad thing as we read, talked and had a totally chilled out weekend. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of storage space in both bedrooms. It was lovely to have walks on the doorstep for the dogs and we easily covered 5+ miles each day without realising. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and are hoping to book again for next year.
