What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ashley - Verified booking

I’m not sure where to start.

The pictures alone of the pod were beautiful, but actually being there in person was just something else. The location is stunning! Waking up in the morning to views of the fields, viaduct and hills, was just beautiful! Relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. The pod itself was just adorable! I went with my two children, and I worried that being pretty much in the middle of nowhere would mean they’d struggle to be entertained, however they were just so taken in with where they were, and chatting the sheep that surrounded the site, that they never seemed to struggle to find entertainment. The walk from the pods to The Station Inn pub is a lovely, scenic short walk, and the food at the bar is second to none, again with stunning views of the surrounding area. There is also plenty to do in the surrounding areas that don’t require too far of a car journey, so many walks to go on, the caves are just 10 minutes down the road, and Lakeland Maise Maze is just 40 minutes away, perfect day out for families! All in all, I could not recommend this place enough, the owners and cleaners were extremely helpful! And the experience itself was just phenomenal. We will 100% be returning! If you’re an outdoors type of person and find beauty in nature, then this is 100% a must for an experience!

      My Name is Shezad.

I stayed at Heron in Yorkshire Dale's in August 2024. This place was amazing the views from my pod are stunning if I could I would have spent all three days of my stay at the pod just watching the view, but I was with the kids so made them do activities and enjoy the nature. The Pod is a 10/10 for cleanliness and it has all the right things to keep you going for about 7 days. My over all experience was a 9 /10 this was because I would change two things, 1 I would have the hot tub abit more private as people driving on to the site and past the site could see me in the hot tub. 2 the water was abit yellow, this will pit some people off so I would advise for the owner to get this issues resolved, the water tasted fresh but the colour put my partner off. Diane was a great help she answered all our queries before we got to the site and also when we where on the site. I will definitely be using these Pods next time. Regards Shezad Mansoor

Had an amazing few days here, were well looked after from the start by Diane, who runs this little gem on their family farm.

We were blessed with the weather, but for me it was pucture perfect.. the sort of perfection you'd expect in a film, peaceful, exceptionally beautiful settling. The pod itself isn't far from the beach and it's well worth going there to watch the sun set.. it's a vast space and no one seems to know about it. The site itself is well located as its only a 20 minute drive through some lovely countryside to several Lancashire tourist places. Including an amazing desert place that do huge cakes and make their own ice cream on site.. seriously gorgeous. Came home feeling exceptionally rested, didn't really want to leave. Could have watched the goats from our very own hot tub for another week. Its exceptionally clean and hats off to Diane.. amazing set up, did her very best to make sure we had everything we needed, but not at all imposing and let us enjoy our break. Thank you.

Stayed for 3 nights just after the New Year.

Brilliant contemporary accommodation surrounded by stunning landscape. Pod was clean, comfy, warm and the super fast WIFI was appreciated by all. The hot tub was great and if clear, the views of the night sky are amazing. The Station Inn is a short walk through the viaduct and serves great home made food. On the departure day there was a heavy snow fall which caused the access road to be blocked but the owners were brilliant and reassured us that there was no rush to depart and even offered an extended stay if required (managed to get out after they cleared the roads), they also provided wellies / gloves for some fun in the snow which were gratefully received. Overall a fantastic place and we will definitely return.

    • Hollie - Verified booking

Absolutely amazing pod, probably one of the best we’ve stayed at & would recommend to all.

Comfortably fit us (1 adult & 2 children). One child had the sofa bed - we were confused at first where the bedding was but soon found it inside the bed. Views were amazing, such a great location right by Whernside & Ingleborough in the distance & a short drive into Ingleton. Hot tub was an added bonus after a day of walking & secluded for our pod. It took a little getting used to the yellow tap/toilet/shower/hot tub water, but felt comforted that it’s completely normal from the handbook! The only slight negative is that other guests in front of us always had music blaring when they were in their hot tub which wasn’t the most relaxing, but it didn’t go on after 10pm so not a huge issue.
