What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Prebble Hubbard - Verified booking

The Red Squirrel batch property is stunning. We had the most relaxing week in the tranquillity of the property and garden. Perfect for our 3 dogs as it was very secure. The property and gardens has been designed beautifully. BBQ's every evening, some days we did not leave the place as it was just so calming to lounge in the gardens. The owners left a lovely welcome pack along with a list of their recommendations on cafes, restaurants and pubs to visit. They left advice on where to walk and beaches that were dog friendly. Incredibly helpful. There is a road nearby that can get busy (you cannot see the road, only some noise at busy times of the day) - but definitely does not distract from this fabulous place. This is a five star if you want to have a little haven for time out.

Lovely chalet, very clean, brilliant location.

Heating inadequate for a winter stay. No handbooks to help operate the bedroom radiators, the oven, the hobs or microwave. Asked maintenance assistance they found switches to radiators after some time but they could not fix the intermittent TV signal as the coaxial socket in the wall has been damaged. The tap in the kitchen supplies only a trickle of hot water compared to the bathroom. My opinion of my stay has been reduced by these unnecessary problems.

Lovely chalet, well maintained and refurbished.

Everything you could need with no unnecessary extras. I look forward to returning next year. I understand that outdoor table/chairs in locked box at front of chalet. This would be more useful at the back away from passing traffic. I couldn’t carry them around the back. Also could do with a lamp as lighting in lounge not enough to knit etc. (my criticism is purely constructive).

Absolutely wonderful. This property gives you the freedom from everyday life, and yet is fully equipped for all your needs. The peace and tranquillity of having a bath in the forest is amazing, it certainly regenerated the "Tarzan" in me, which had been missing for years!! We might take it for the whole of next summer!!

Malbec is a superb quality Shepherds hut with great views across the valley.

It has quality appliances and fittings, an extremely comfy bed, ample storage, located in a superb position for exploring the island. The whole site was kept in a very tidy and clean condition. The housekeeper was only a phone call away for any problems.
