What our customers say about their holidays

      We loved the chalet!

Very nostalgic of the chalets back in the 90’s! It did smell a bit of a damp like it used to 30 years ago! Bearing in mind the price per night, the property needs both a dehumidifier and a fan as the property isn’t easy to ventilate and was uncomfortably hot on arrival. Due to the proximity of the property to the shrubbery to the rear, when we opened the windows, we were visited by the local wildlife. The views of the green are sadly hampered by the condensation which has developed now that the double glazing is no longer doing its job. Lovely touches with the basket in the kitchen, milk and water in the fridge, and loo rolls and miniature toiletries in the bathroom. The beds are suitable for young children but are too springy for adults and could really do with replacing. We would consider coming back as Westfield is a special place but it would be even better if minor adjustments e.g. a fan, could be provided.

We so enjoyed staying at 'Seas the Day'.

It was a lovely location and great property thoughtfully set up for families. All was as described and we really appreciated the extra touches such as complimentary milk and biscuits etc, and the games and DVD for kids to enjoy. So good that there was a big green space out the back so that children can safely play and we liked that we could easily walk down and enjoy Ventnor. Ideal size property for the 4 of us (we have two young children). Would certainly recommend. Many thanks to the owners and Sykes Cottages :)

Extremely disappointed with "Seas the Day" A dirty and rundown property.

Cobwebs/spiders webs in every room. Infested with woodlice due to damp in the property. Dirt, scum and mould on window frames, shower cubicle and skirting boards. Seals all blown on UPVC windows to front. Locks/latches broken on bedroom windows. Internal walls and woodwork require re-decorating. Kitchen cupboard door broken. Disappointing that Sykes have obviously not inspected this property, and this property should be removed from Sykes Cottages until it is brought up to an acceptable standard.

      Well located.

You will need to walk down a hill a short distance from the car park to the chalet. Well equipped, very clean, comfortable. The only minor things are that the hot water pressure is a little low and that the light in the bathroom is activated by a sensor, so you might inadvertently end up showering in the dark. But very happy with this place.

A lovely place to stay, very quiet and comfortable.

It had everything we needed. Our teenagers had great fun with the table tennis set! The tv remote was missing but after contacting the owner we were sent a replacement remote which arrived the next day, which was much appreciated. Ideal location for exploring the island and the car park space was a big advantage.
