Have an adventure with an Isle of Wight log cabin

The Isle of Wight is known for its stunning natural beauty, with beaches, cliffs, and rolling hills offering breathtaking views.

With incredible attractions such as the Needles, Carisbrooke Castle, Longstone Down, and Tapnell Farm, there is plenty to explore. This small and peaceful island has been a popular holiday destination for generations thanks to its rich history, spectacular scenery, dramatic landscape, and culture.

To complete your trip, why not stay in one of our beautiful Isle of Wight log cabins? A log cabin holiday gives you the chance to experience the wild beauty and nature of the Isle of Wight from your cosy home away from home.

Why choose an Isle of Wight weekend break or staycation?

Fancy a holiday that feels like you've travelled to some far-off island? A trip to the Isle of Wight allows you to experience natural beauty, amazing beaches, historical charm, adventure, brilliant attractions, and breathtaking landscapes, all without having to get on a plane.

Osborne House is the former royal residence of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, who enjoyed many summers here. Located in East Cowes, the house has plenty to discover, from the vast, stunning grounds, Swiss cottage, pretty gardens, and a private beach. You can walk around the rooms of the house and even visit the bedroom where Queen Victoria passed away.

For more royal history, head to Carisbrooke Castle near Newport. This castle boasts a thousand years' worth of history and is the site where King Charles I was held before his execution, and where his two youngest children were imprisoned.

The Needles is one of the Isle of Wight's most iconic landmarks. This rock formation consists of three distinct chalk stacks with a red and white lighthouse at the end. The Needles Landmark Attraction makes the day even better. You can go to the 4D cinema, play crazy golf, ride the chairlift, and take a boat ride around The Needles.

For one of the most picturesque spots on the island, make sure a trip to Steephill Cove is on your itinerary. Tucked away in a quiet spot near Ventnor, Steephill Cove has no road access, making it a peaceful and relaxing beach to spend a few hours. There are rows of handpainted beach huts, colourful deckchairs, and a calm, sleepy atmosphere.

No trip to the Isle of Wight is complete without a few beach days. Luckily, you have plenty to choose from. There are more than a thousand kilometres of coastline, with some particular favourite beaches being Shanklin Chine Beach, Compton Bay, Bembrigge Beach, and Yaverland Beach.

Shanklin is one of the best seaside resorts on the island if you're looking for a classic seaside holiday. The beaches have soft, golden sand and sparkling water perfect for cooling down. You'll also find everything you want from a seaside resort such as amusements, arcades, boutiques, and restaurants. Don't miss the incredible sandstone cliffs and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in one of the many green spaces.

For more beach fun, why not stay in Ryde? This is the biggest town on the Isle of Wight and is ideal for a holiday with friends and family thanks to its sandy beaches, pretty streets, shops, galleries, and an excellent range of restaurants and cafes. Or why not head to the coastal village of Bembridge? You'll love its three beaches, idyllic views, and charming atmosphere.

We've only just scratched the surface of things to do on this wonderful island. To experience it for yourself, book one of our Isle of Wight log cabins, and let your adventure begin.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Suzanne - Verified booking

      The parkdean resort was amazing.

The location, facilities and entertainment were great for a family holiday. We ate on site a couple of time and used the passes to access the pool and clubhouse I. The evening and both adults and children enjoyed it thoroughly. However, the caravan was not uo to the same standard as we expected from such a great site. The interior was dated, there were lots of unnecessary items in the caravan that couldn't be used such as lamps situated where there were no plug sockets. There was a lack of plug in general which meant that you couldn't watch TV at the same time as having a lamp on. The kitchen was very basic. The grill wouldn't stay on and to use it, you would have to keep the gas knob pressed in. There was only one shelf in the oven, which meant that cooking for 5 people was tricky. From staying in other caravans there seemed a lack of storage space in bedrooms. We also couldn't seem to find any instructions on how the heating worked. When we arrived the shower was on and the bathroom floor was flooded, I believe there had been a problem with the water on site before we arrived so assumed that when the cleaners were in they forgot to turn off the shower. The light switch in the bathroom was also too short. This meant that 2 of the 3 children couldn't use the bathroom at night as they couldn't reach the pull cord. It was also very hard to shut the double bedroom door, which meant waking the children up eheb the adults went to bed. I think it would also be worth mentioning that, as you are surrounded by established trees that it is quite a common noise to hear acorns falling onto the roof. This wasn't a problem but 2 of the children were a bit scared of the noise on the first night.

We had a fantastic stay here at Muscat.

The property was beautiful and felt safe and comfortable. The area was also in a good location and was close to other tourist areas if you have a car (and we saw a bus stop very close by too). Jon and Mel answered any questions we had and kindly provided us with basic necessities such as tea, milk, coffee, sugar and biscuits etc.. thank you. There were certain small things which could have been improved but certainly did not impact our stay. We felt there was definitely a need for a serving spoon or ladle in the kitchen cupboards. There seemed to be everything else other then this. There were also no cleaning facilities despite asking us to leave the lodge clean and tidy upon our departure (we had to go out and buy surface wipes/toilet rolls etc as there were no spares). Also could have done with some washing up liquid (we were left with an empty bottle which had enough for a plate or two). We did find a few dead insects upon arrival also but again, this was an easy fix and easily missed. Overall though, there is everything you could want. An easy to use hot tub, tourist magazines/leaflets, TV’s, two bathrooms, lots of kitchen equipment and guides on how to use oven etc.. and most of all, a beautiful lodge. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. We will definitely recommend/would return in the future.

PRO'S: Claret Lodge was beautiful and perfect for a small group.

It was very clean inside and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was excellent and the combi boiler meant we always had hot water on demand. The TV had a good signal and internet signal was strong too. Overall the lodge itself lived up to expectation and we were happy with our stay. CONS: - there is a very noisy road at the back of the lodges which starts to get busy by 6am and as the bedrooms face this road as well as the hot tub, it wasnt as peaceful as we had hoped and we did not get to sleep in past 6am due to the traffic noise. - the sofa is very small and uncomfortable unfortunately. An L shaped sofa or recliners would have been better in this lodge to maximise comfort. - it would have been nice to have a larger fridge freezer. As this is self catering accommodation and with only 2 shelves and an icebox it meant we had to go to food shop everyday. There is a grey sideboard by the dining table which doesnt really serve a purpose and a 50/50 full size fridge freezer would fit there nicely.

The kitchen/lounge area of the lodge was clean and generally well fitted out.

The addition of a teapot would be good and also a 2nd oven glove - lifting a hot dish out of the oven with 1 hand is not really safe. However, it is in the bathrooms that my criticism begins. The sink is way too small and it is difficult to get your head over the sink when cleaning your teeth/shaving. When sitting on the loo you can easily see very dirty marks on the front of the shower tray - not acceptable. Sealant in the shower had dirt/mould on it - but even worse was the appalling smells that both shower rooms gave from the drains once you have taken a shower. Not nice when you sleep in the adjoining bedrooms and a possible health risk. Only 1 toilet roll was provided for each bathroom for a weeks stay…. Also a hairdryer being provided would have been better than having to carry my own. Luxury lodge - no . Eco lodge - not sure how that can be with a hot tub outside, although not used by us. Such a shame as there is so much to enjoy about this accommodation…..but not by us again.

My father in laws family feedback is similar to ours, location excellent with lovely quiet views and comfortable beds.

Place very dirty, sink, shelves, floor, they are both 80...but felt the need to clean all cupboards and contents before use for their safety and hygiene. Outdoor furniture rotten - rusted out and flaking as ours was; i moved them when required as i didn't want them hurt like me. R. Spoke to site maintenance about their toaster tripping out the power supply. Person came out and said the socket was faulty somehow and not to use. Nobody came back to fix or confirm if the problem was deeper or extremely dangerous. (Also as my experience as ana engineer the socket should have had a label or tape put over stating the socket was potentially dangerous and should not be used). On the day of leaving other lodge users passed my Father in law and asked what he thought; all said they asked as they where disgusted at how dirty and poorly maintained the properties where. Puzzled at the feedback from previous visitors compared to what we experienced and heard on site.
