About this property

Ryde 3.1 miles. Situated within an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty and set within extensive lawned gardens in a tranquil, rural location close to Ryde on the Isle of Wight, The Springs is a unique, detached Scandi-style, eco-friendly timber lodge. The perfect setting for a romantic break for two, the lodge has been completed to an exceptionally high standard and offers superb open-plan studio accommodation. On entering the property, guests are greeted by a stunning pine-vaulted interior, and it is apparent straight away that every need has been catered for from a Smart TV and WiFi to a sumptuous super-king-size bed and a sensational outdoor, solar-cover heated swimming pool , which is open 1st May to 30th September. You can imagine spending many happy hours chilling out in the pool or enjoying time eating and drinking alfresco under the eaves of the lodge while soaking up the rural views; holidays don’t get much more relaxing than this. The lodge is in the extensive grounds of the owner’s house who is happy to provide locally-sourced produce from one of a number of nearby farm shops, by prior arrangement so that you can look forward to delicious food prepared in the amply fitted kitchen. The delightful gardens are frequented by wildlife including red squirrels, hares, woodpeckers and badgers, and you might even catch sight of the stunning, white-tailed eagle soaring high above. There are some lovely walks straight from the door and nearby is Ryde, with its numerous attractions, glorious sandy beaches and a good selection of shops and restaurants, whilst the attractive harbour at Bembridge offers great facilities for boating enthusiasts. The Springs makes a great romantic base for two, whatever the weather.

Also known as "The Gateway to the Island", the largest town on the Isle of Wight, Ryde, has been an extremely popular holiday location since the mid 19th century. There is a huge amount to see and do in Ryde, and it is highly accessible to holidaymakers because of the regular catamaran, ferry and hovercraft transport services. Ryde has something for everyone, including a great selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as six miles of gorgeous sandy beaches. The bustling seaside esplanade has plenty of recreational opportunities including an ice rink, tenpin bowling, bowling greens, putting greens, a pretty boating lake and a children's paddling pool and rides. Everything is within easy reach, making this a very stress-free and relaxing holiday location.

Loved all the birds and squirrels and anything else that turned up to say Hi. Justin and Mike, very friendly and helpful. Hope they get the mess cleared up soon, such a shame about the tree.

Fantastic place to stay, beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The wildlife is amazing to watch, especially the red squirrels - my personal favourite. Everything we needed and Justine was wonderful - always there if you need something. Will be going back.

Very much' off the beaten track' . The chalet is compact but very well-equipped. We would like to stay there again.
