"This cottage is a converted stable but has a lot of mod-cons while keeping that old country cottage feel. It was hard to find as it really is in the middle of nowhere(used sat nav but still had trouble) We had 3 generations staying (ages 8-70) The kitchen/living room is very open and quite large. The eaves bedroom is perfect for young kids. The stairs are a little steep. The cottage is surrounded by farmland and fields with horses and chickens. There were fresh eggs and produce available for purchase everyday (reasonably priced too). When we arrived, the owners had provided milk, tea and cookies, which was a nice touch. There was also leaflets and maps for days out. The cottage is about 40 mins from a lot of Norfolk attractions. Things I didn't like - there was no phone (travelling from abroad, we didn't have cell phones) or WiFi. It was also very hot so a fan would have been nice. And there were not many plugs near a mirror. My family were impressed with the cottage and have already recommended it to others."

"The cottage itself was wonderful. We were there at the beginning of December and it was very warm and cosy. The kitchen/sitting area was large but so were the radiators, and the wood burning stove could be lit if you wanted to stay up very late or just because it looked so pretty. The kitchen was a joy to use, the table was well sized and there were plenty of pots/pans/cutlery so that we could make full use of the dishwasher. The main bedroom on the ground floor is large and the double bed very comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms are gorgeous and are set in the eaves. Indeed, the cottage was so well provided with everything you could need to stay there, so certainly don't think of packing the kitchen sink. The owners have got it just right. They are very pleasant and would have sorted problems if we'd had any, but they really let us feel that the cottage was our 'home' for the time we were there."

"Our stay at Falconers Lodge over Easter was Perfect. We did not want to go home! It is like taking a step back in time. The property is breath taking and the location within the forest is idyllic. A wonderful retreat for the whole family, dogs included. The location seems remote, but a short 10 minute drive in to Brandon and you have an Aldi, where you can pick up all you need for your stay, and Swaffham is a 20 minute drive away too where there is another Tesco and Waitrose. Once you are set up for your stay you won't want to leave the forest which is great for long walks and nature spotting, Deer and Muntjac's included.Should you want a day trip out Wells-next-the-sea is just an hour away by car.I would not hesitate to book again. In fact I can't wait to return!"

"This is one of the most highly refurbished cottages we have stayed in. We regularly travel with our dogs and therefore, have not always had such a lovely property! Its so refreshing look forward to getting home to enjoy the lovely open plan kitchen and eat and drink together! This was a super base to see the local area too with supermarkets a short car drive away to stock up! Based on a small holding, there are horses and chickens to see and its all on the flat therefore lovely for my disabled mother to look around too! You can even buy eggs from the owner to have for breakfast. You wont get fresher!! We would definately consider it for a summer break and would enjoy relaxing at the cottage as well as popping out!"

"Lovely cottage most beautiful grounds to walk around. We enjoyed our stay the only downsides were we were left with a dirty BBQ and the grill rack was filthy and not useable so we couldn't use the grill. The WiFi was almost non existent but it is to be expected in the middle of the forest! So it wasn't a huge issue.Mobile reception is very patchy also but it will work outside.Beds were very comfortable always got a good night's sleep and kept warm in bed.We also had some very nice meals in the farmhouse style kitchen. We saw some beautiful birds and it was very peaceful place to stay I will definitely return at the price I paid although I would not return at the peak season rates."
