Located in Norfolk's Thetford forest, Whoa-Stop is a romantic shepherds hut with an outdoor bath tub for two and a private wood-fired hot tub. Nestled in tranquil landscape, this unique setting away from it all offers on-site spa treatments, making this hideaway an ideal escape at any time of year, with plenty of privacy along with indoor and outdoor bathing and cooking facilities. Spa treatments, alpaca walks, karting, Banham Zoo, paintballing and picturesque walks are just some of the thrilling activities nearby.

Whoa-Stop sits on the outskirts of the forest canopy of beech and elm, in the company of two other similarly appointed huts, each with plenty of space and privacy. This unique retreat is a must if you want to get back to nature, yet crave modern comforts too. ​A complimentary starter welcome pack along with toiletries will greet you on arrival.

Inside this gorgeous hut, you’ll also find a fabulous wood burning stove and a very comfortable king-size bed. With a built-in boom box and a 20 inch television to entertain you, you will feel relaxed and cosy whatever time of year you choose to stay. Your dog is welcome to join you in the great outdoors here - on a lead of course!

Step onto the veranda and you will find the elegant, double ended bath where you can lie back, relax and enjoy the stars with a bottle bubbles whilst listening to the wildlife around you. Dry off in front of the gas fire pit, before cooking supper in the well-appointed outdoor kitchen.

Finish off the evening with a Twilight Hamper full of tempting delights such as marshmallows, popcorn, chocolate sauce and hot chocolate, which can be ordered from the owners on arrival (extra charge). You can also enjoy breakfast in the morning at the Bistro.

If you can bear to tear yourself away from your luxury hut, then there is a good pub within walking distance in the village of Thompson, The Chequers Inn.

The area is also surrounded by miles of off-road paths and tracks, and you are right next door to a significant Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve so you can forget about your car for a few days and explore on foot or bike.

There is a complementary 1h access to the natural swimming pool located within the Wilderness Spa; a bespoke outdoor spa experience to relax and unwind under the beautiful mature trees in King Edward viii Wood. Further information is listed below.

Additional Information:

One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). Dogs must be kept on a lead and are not allowed at the Wilderness Spa.

Children over the age of 16 are welcome at the main retreat but cannot use the Wilderness Spa.

Subject to availability, early check-in from 1:30pm can be arranged for an additional fee of £20. This must be arranged with the owner directly 24h before arrival.

The Wilderness Spa includes a natural swimming pool, hot tubs, private snug, sauna, cold plunge and a relaxation area, plus:

- 3 hours of Wilderness Spa access, between 12pm-3pm;

- 25 minutes spa treatment per person, between 12pm-3pm;

- 12pm light lunch at the botanical bistro;

- Priority check-in from 3pm

- Hot Tub lighting ready for your arrival (if pre-booked);

- Bottle of bubbly - Red or white wine or beer can be a substitute;

- Dinner in your accommodation or at the bistro;

Doubled-ended free-standing bath, fully-equipped kitchen with combi oven, gas fire pit, chairs/table for alfresco dining.

Private wood fired hot tub.

Outside:

Parking is to the rear of the shepherd's hut on a shared gravel area.
