Set deep within an historic Norfolk wood a mile from the nearest road, Whoa-Stop is a romantic shepherds hut that comes with a host of luxuries. An all year round glamping retreat in the most beautiful and unique location, with spa facilities on site.

Whoa-Stop is a beautiful secluded shepherds hut offering plenty of privacy along with indoor and outdoor bathing and cooking facilities. Where else can you bathe outside under the stars, in a heated double ended bath? Whoa-Stop sits on the outskirts of the forest canopy of beech and elm, in the company of two other similarly appointed huts, yet it offers plenty of privacy. This unique retreat is a must if you want to get back to nature, yet crave your home comforts too. And even your dog is welcome to enjoy the great outdoors here, on a lead of course!

There's a well-appointed outdoor kitchen, as well as an easy gas fire pit. What better way to finish off the evening with a Twilight Hamper full of tempting delights such as marshmallows, popcorn, chocolate sauce and hot chocolate, which can be ordered from the owners on arrival, although you get a starter welcome pack on arrival along with toiletries.

Inside this gorgeous hut, you’ll also find a fabulous wood burning stove and a very comfortable king-size bed, with cushions and soft throws, all decorated in hues of French grey and purple. And with a built-in boom box and a 20 inch television to enjoy (if maybe the weather isn’t so good) you will feel relaxed and cosy whatever time of year you choose to stay.

If you can bear to tear yourself away from your luxury hut, then there is a good pub in the village of Thompson which is in walking distance, where you can enjoy local ales and good food. The area is also surrounded by miles of off-road paths and tracks, and you are right next door to a significant Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve so you can forget about your car for a few days and explore on foot or bike.

The hut has the added benefit of a choice of two outdoor spa areas on the grounds. The Lotus Spa and The Lilly Pad Spa. Please see below for further information.

One well-behaved dog is welcome (small additional charge)

Early check in fee £20, arrival from 1.30pm, please ask when booking for this to be added’

Please note there is £100 security deposit taken a few days before arrival and it is held during your stay.

Inside the hut:

Living/kitchen area

Range of built-in kitchen units, microwave, fridge and gas hob. Wood burning stove (logs provided)

Bedroom area

King-size bed and television. Bedding provided.

Shower room

Large shower, wash basin and WC, illuminated mirror and electric towel rail. Towels and complimentary toiletries included.

Verandah:

Doubled-ended free-standing bath, fully-equipped kitchen with combi oven, gas fire pit, chairs/table for alfresco dining.

Private wood fired hot tub

Outside:

Parking is to the rear of the shepherd's hut on a shared gravel area.

The Lilly Pad Spa offers a Hot tub, Sauna, Relaxation area and Solar Shower which are available to book with private use. This spa is open 24 hours a day and 90 minute slots can be booked on our black board located near the spa area. You may return for additional slots in off peak times. You can add this extra to your booking for £33 per couple per slot. A basket with robes towels and instructions are included in this cost.

The Lotus spa area with Natural swimming pool, swim spa, hot tub, barrel sauna, and relaxation area. The relaxation area is an elegant safari tent with a wood burner shower and changing facilities. Robes and towel will be provided. Refreshments; Selection of teas, Coffee & Juices
