What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Campbell - Verified booking

Garden Cottage is a little Gem. We selected this property after looking at other Cottage and accommodation sites. It was our choice for location as it is very close to the Park and Ride, the City and to our son's house. The amenities and the layout were completely ideal for us. As well as everything that we have marked "excellent" the added bonus is Sue, the owner. She was welcoming, friendly but not intrusive and made us feel very much at home. The 'welcome pack' she left out for us was most welcome and of excellent quality. We would love to stay here again when we come up from deepest darkest Devon to visit our son. Highly Recommended. Thank you Sue.

The cabin was lovely and well maintained.

The location is beautiful, with good walking from the site, including the beautiful woods up along the River Greta. A number of hilly walking routes are available from the site as well. The site was quiet (we visited in mid-September) and dog friendly. The river provides a calming soundtrack. The only slight downside was that, although wifi worked OK in the living room, we could not connect from the bedroom, although we were not too bothered as we were there to enjoy the Lakes rather than spend time online.

Really enjoyed the stay here, cottage was gorgeous and very clean. However, I felt like we was ignored by the staff, they never checked in on us etc or asked If they could assist in anything. No welcome pack on arrival in terms of local information, pubs and walking paths etc. This was a let down unfortunately for me as we missed some nice places for food etc. Was also rudely awoken around 8:30 by prolonged lawn cutting etc which could have been timed much better. Needs better customer service.

This was our 1st visit to the Lake District, we stayed in Striding Edge 24-29 July. To stay were pleased in an understatement, it was fantastic which was topped of by the hot tub and the stunning views. There's so much to see and do in Keswick, we walked up Cats Bells, Climbed Scafell Pike. The hot tub was misted welcome after the climb. We visited lake Windermere. Perfectly situated. We will definitely be recommending you to our friends and family. We will definitely be returning next year 5*

The view from the pod was amazing! The place it self is beautiful waking up early morning to the voice of nature is heaven! The pod was so clean and had all the equipments and the hot tab was amazing was all heated up ready when we arrived. We couldn't seem to finger out how to turn on high jet pressure in hot tab and there wasn't a visible sing either to guide us. Overall the experience was amazing and definitely would recommend and will be bck soon again!!!!
