My husband and I have stayed at Oyster Cottage, Wells-next-the-sea twice now: once in 2019 and recently in October 2021.We think it is an utterly charming cottage: very cosy and comfortable. The rooms are smaller than what we are used to - we live in a large rambling old house - but are very cosy and well decorated. The staircase is quite steep and narrow, but care has been taken to ensure as much safety as possible so were not really a problem to us (in our late eighties and seventies and slightly "frayed around the edges"). It is sufficiently well-equipped to enable in-house eating, which we did most of the time with little effort. The location is very good: away from the main town area, so very quiet, but close enough for a quick stroll to its heart, and the marshes as well. We have always managed to park close by, which is an added bonus. All in all, a lovely place to "come home to" at the end of the day and we certainly intend to come again

Another lovely stay in the cottage, so lucky with the weather! Fantastic food at The Crab House again and can recommend Bang for breakfast. Lots of super places visited - Holkham Hall (full tour including farm to fork and walled garden), Holt for lovely individual shops, also Burnham Market, Thornham deli, Holkham beach, Hunstanton beach. Caught the Coastliner to Brancaster Staithe to The Jolly Sailor and had lunch and a few drinks (No. 36). Can also recommend the Chinese takeaway - Fortune House for a simple but tasty Chinese meal. Thank you once again for sharing your lovely cottage.
