"Ladymoor is a beautiful large cottage in a wonderful riverside location. We had a great family get together of 10 adults for 3 nights. The damp weather didn't spoil our stay as we had the pool table, football table, Sky TV, cosy sofas to snuggle up with a book. Fabulous bedrooms and bathrooms. Friendly owner. However, it's not 4 star quality. The conservatory only seats 6 people and it's the brightest room in the house to gather in. The windows are 'blown' spoiling the view, it's roof is dirty. Similarly, the lovely bedroom balcony had a big pile of bird poo right outside the French windows. The entrance driveway is scruffy, with tatty doormats outside and recycling boxes. Plus a wreck of a building stuffed full of junk is next to the cottage. This spoils the arrival impression and is a main view from the conservatory. Little details like the kitchen bin lid was broken, the scruffy, handwritten information folder with no take away menus in it or pub menus. We did not appreciate the note in the folder which asked guests to clean and mop the floors on leaving...it's a holiday....hotels don't ask you to clean up! Also, why the £50 fuel charge as an extra? Isn't this covered by the expensive per night hire cost? All that said, we had a good time."

"We were a group of families who stayed at the Garth Ucha over the weekend. We couldn't have asked for a more scenic place, the views were beautiful and location is completely secluded with a lot of privacy. Hot tub was an instant hit and it accommodate a lot of people. Cottage was well equipped for large groups and we had not problem cooking or serving everyone. It was clean and linen, towels were all included. Plenty to do in the games room and for kids too.Just a few little improvements could make is 10 on 10 for us. There is a tile pavement created around the wood burning stoves which is a trip hazard, the kids and adults kept falling and hurting themselves there, so we had to put furniture around it to stop anyone else tripping.Otherwise we had a memorable stay, will never forget it and will love to come back."

"Really lovely cottage with plenty of space for us all (8 adults 5 children). It was clean and tidy and the owner was easily reached if we needed anything. The hot tub was a big plus too and very good fun. Again, very clean.Gorgeous views too with a wonderful patio area and bbq! Well equipped kitchen and the larder was perfect for all our food!We found it was just a little too far out in the countryside (not a negative for most people probably). We wanted to order take away a few nights but no-one could find us! And it would have been nice to go for a stroll from the cottage into a village or to a pub but it's just too far up a long concrete drive. Such an excellent place though it didn't matter too much.5 star accommodation! Thank you Garth Ucha!"

"We had a fantastic time at Garth Ucha. Let me get two points out of the way, no hairdryers, unless we just didn't find one (but I bet there will be one or two before long) and a Tumble Dryer would be a good idea, to dry robes and towels after going in and out of the Amazing Hot Tub.Beds comfy, sheets lovely and clean. So much kitchen equipment and everything you need. A great lawn to play games on and a sitting area for meals. We had good weather, so spent the evening outside, felt it could do with more lighting but you could always take some T lights with you.Tried to be honest with my comments but none of them will stop you from having a great holiday at this Beautiful House. Thank You Margaret."

"We stayed at the Generals Quarters as a group of friends. This place is amazing. It was a privilege to stay in such an old building that had been so thoughtfully restored. The restoration is still ongoing in the grounds but its easy to see how beautiful these will be with time. The house itself is a few miles from shops and pubs but if you come prepared there is no real reason to leave! You might want to bring a board game or two though. The house itself had more than enough space for 14 adults. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals for everyone and all the bedrooms were large and had their own individuality. We would definitely return here, what a great experience."
