"There was lots of space for 15 of us to spread out with lots of seating areas. The main sitting room had nice seating with a log burner. There was a large dining room with an extendable table to get us all round at mealtimes. The kitchen was big and well stocked with utensils and had a smaller table and chairs and a window seat for smaller gatherings. There was also an AGA which took a bit of getting used to and you could not cook anything if you were in a rush but there was also microwave for ‘emergencies’. The property had 2 dishwashers which were very useful for larger families. There was a washing machine in the utility room but no tumble dryer which we found slightly problematic at times and, other than the fridges and freezer there was nowhere to store other food. The grounds surrounding the property are nice and the small children played croquet whilst the older ones played tennis. The 9 seater hot tub was a huge bonus. There was a separate cottage with 2 bedrooms (1 double bedroom and 1 single). The cottage was entirely self-sufficient with a kitchen and shower room and was only a few steps from the main house. On our arrival we were met by the owner who showed us around and how things worked etc which was useful. We had his phone number if we needed him and did not feel that it was necessary for him to keep coming back and letting himself into the house to check on us. That aside we had a wonderful time."

"Clean. Accommodation flexible (lots of bedrooms). However, our double bedroom did not have a wardrobe! Kitchen well equipped and sufficient size for our large (12) group. Lounge dreadful, massive space, lighting appalling. The lounge was chilly during the day and freezing in the evening (rainy June). The central-heating is totally inadequate in this room. There is a log burning "feature fire" which has seen better days, which guests have to light, it is useless at heating such an enormous space. Besides freezing, everybody spending the evening in there comes out reeking of smoke! We were under the impression that this property was suitable for people with mobility issues, it is not. There are steps into the property and steps between the kitchen and the lounge. The access road got very boggy and rutted due to the torrential rain when we were there. So, anyone with a small or low car may want to be aware of this."

"We were a group of families who stayed at the Garth Ucha over the weekend. We couldn't have asked for a more scenic place, the views were beautiful and location is completely secluded with a lot of privacy. Hot tub was an instant hit and it accommodate a lot of people. Cottage was well equipped for large groups and we had not problem cooking or serving everyone. It was clean and linen, towels were all included. Plenty to do in the games room and for kids too.Just a few little improvements could make is 10 on 10 for us. There is a tile pavement created around the wood burning stoves which is a trip hazard, the kids and adults kept falling and hurting themselves there, so we had to put furniture around it to stop anyone else tripping.Otherwise we had a memorable stay, will never forget it and will love to come back."

"Really lovely cottage with plenty of space for us all (8 adults 5 children). It was clean and tidy and the owner was easily reached if we needed anything. The hot tub was a big plus too and very good fun. Again, very clean.Gorgeous views too with a wonderful patio area and bbq! Well equipped kitchen and the larder was perfect for all our food!We found it was just a little too far out in the countryside (not a negative for most people probably). We wanted to order take away a few nights but no-one could find us! And it would have been nice to go for a stroll from the cottage into a village or to a pub but it's just too far up a long concrete drive. Such an excellent place though it didn't matter too much.5 star accommodation! Thank you Garth Ucha!"

"We had a fantastic time at Garth Ucha. Let me get two points out of the way, no hairdryers, unless we just didn't find one (but I bet there will be one or two before long) and a Tumble Dryer would be a good idea, to dry robes and towels after going in and out of the Amazing Hot Tub.Beds comfy, sheets lovely and clean. So much kitchen equipment and everything you need. A great lawn to play games on and a sitting area for meals. We had good weather, so spent the evening outside, felt it could do with more lighting but you could always take some T lights with you.Tried to be honest with my comments but none of them will stop you from having a great holiday at this Beautiful House. Thank You Margaret."
