What our customers are saying about our Country Cottages In Shropshire To Rent.

"This is a charming cottage with a lovely secluded location and great secure garden for our dog. It's perfectly located for walking in the Shropshire Hills and served as an excellent base for our trip. We didn't mind the absence of electricity and running water in the cottage. Hot and cold water taps were just a few steps outside and the decidedly unVictorian outside bathroom was well appointed. Cooking on the range took a little getting used to but just meant that meals took a little longer to prepare. The thermos we brought to take on walks was filled with hot water each night so we could have hot tea in the morning without lighting the range and a head torch for washing up and night time toilet trips was also a big help. The only area we found the cottage lacking was comfort. Whilst the double bed was comfortable enough, the single beds were not and there was only one vaguely comfortable chair in the house. Clearly Victorians weren't ones for sitting down. Other than that, it's a lovely cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"We were greeted and welcomed and shown around. The cottage is next door to where the owners live, which helps if there is a problem or you need information. This is not a working farm.Access to the cottage from the main road is via an unmade potholed track. The layout inside is a bit curious, but we found it OK. The galley kitchen can be a bit of a scrum if more than one person is in there as it is also the passage to both bedrooms. One bedroom has an on-suite but the other bedroom has a bathroom accessed through the kitchen. We found this shower tended to be a bit cool. Weirdly this one is electric but the other one was off the mains and worked very well. One thing that needs to be realised is that entering the cottage is via a step which is quite high and someone with mobility issues may find this a problem. Overall it was comfortable and worked well for the four of us."

"High quality barn conversion with modern fixtures and fittings in a lovely location. The owner was very welcoming and encouraged us to get involved with the rescued donkeys and chickens. Woore is a good location for visiting various places of interest. We went to the Wedgwood museum (Stoke-on-Trent) which was extremely interesting (afternoon tea and pot painting also available). There are plenty of eating/drinking places within walking distance - we went to the pub opposite and also The Barn Indian restaurant which were excellent. Overwater Marina has a canal 'river boat taxi' which is also a good experience to get to/from Audlem."

"If you want peace and quiet this is the place to go. Clean and tidy. We took our dog who soon settled in well. We were allowed access into the owners garden but due to damp weather it was not possible. Nearest town was Knighton. All necessary requirements there including a big Co-op with parking and petrol. Many places to visit and walks. The Castle Inn pub about 5/10 minutes away very good plus The Sun Inn at Clun. Also a most unusual tea house called The Bird on the Rock at Clungunford. Excellent.Suggest to Rebecca that a safe for key to cottage maybe a good idea in case they are out when people leave."

"Whilst the Barn itself offered lovely views the noise from the traffic which went past the bedroom early morning/ late evening was not our idea of a good nights sleep. Far noisier than we expected didn't get a good nights sleep at all. Whilst spotlessly clean and a beautiful space to be in there were things we expected at the price we paid, Owner very friendly and helpful very pleasant. Would have been nice to have a welcome pack( some thing local to the area )and a comments book (couldn't find one).Very close to Ludlow and a beautiful setting just a shame about the noise so close to the windows.."
