What our customers say about their holidays

    • Gary - Verified booking

We were impressed with Welymora from the start.

The Kitchen is well planned with modern easy to use appliances including an Air Fryer which proved very useful. The balcony overlooks the sea and because it is south facing it is in full sun from first thing in the morning till early evening. Even though it was fairly chilly out and about, it was quite warm in the balcony. The rooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and clean. Myself and my wife chose the double in the first floor as this gave us access to the garden which allowed us to let our dog out first thing in the morning. It also gave us almost instant access to the beach which was great for taking the dog for a walk (he has never been so clean after his many swims in the sea). My Mother & Father in law were extremely impressed with the accommodation, large screen TV, and the balcony in particular as well as the comfort and views from their bedroom with en-suite. There is a very nice Cafe down the road serving very good quality food at reasonable prices and there is a bar called the View which is also worth a visit. Lynn (owner) was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Lynn. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and next time we are looking at Wales for our Holiday, Welymora will be number one on the list.

1st negative review we have ever left.

The kitchen is not that well equipped and yes we looked in all the cupboards. The kitchen light turned up on the dimmer is awful, there are 4 battery push lights 3 were dead and the other was a waste of time. The toilet has been replaced and what a bodge. All the woodwork behind the toilet is mouldy. There’s mould and damp in several place’s, bathroom, corner of the bedroom and all around the front door and window. There must have been a leak because the laminate is uneven and breaking up in place’s. Also anybody under 5ft 6” will not reach the mug’s and glasses. Last but not least, (sorry least) was the pathetic welcome pack. We were left 4 satchet’s of milk 2 tea bag’s a bit of coffee and 4 satchet’s of sugar. Oh nearly forget 4 single biscoff biscuit’s. We have rented cottage’s for year’s and we have alway’s been left at least a pint of milk, tea bag’s, coffee and sugar to make several drink’s. They also told us check in was not till 4pm, the cleaner’s didn’t leave till 4pm and all the floor’s were wet. On a positive note the area is beautiful and the food in the ship inn was excellent.

The property was clean and modern and the towels and bedding very soft.

The location was good for exploring the local area and the local pub at the bottom of the bank was lovely. There were plenty of maps, leaflets and local magazines which were useful as was the ability to use picnic blanket and beach toys. There were sufficient cooking facilities and the WiFi was strong. The shower head needs attention as it needed to be hand held. Also worth a mention is that this has been the only self catering accommodation that I have ever been to that provides no added welcome extras e.g. milk, tea, coffee, sugar. Not that this is a problem but it really is self catering so you do need to take all basics including washing up liquid, cooking oil and sauces. Also it is very difficult to locate the premises as the sign is very well hidden and it was only recognisable by the photo of the next house that was identified from the booking documentation. The photos do the property justice with nice artwork and well sized rooms. The outdoor space was a decent size and we used it well. I would return but at the price paid it does need a little attention.

Our third stay at Welymora, great house in a great location for beach , town and everything.

Some lovely level walks. House well equipped, towels fantastic, large and fluffy. Right on the beach, we watched the dolphins swimming just off the beach, from the balcony. Nice glass fronted balcony, so if it’s windy you can get out of the wind. Great house for all ages, ground floor bedroom with doors to the garden. Great carport to leave your car. Which we hardly used, train station walking distance, start of the Cambrian line, most amazing train ride goes all the way down the coast to Aberystwyth. If your a fisherman, great fishing off the beach in front of the house . Couldn’t recommend more, one of the best places we’ve stayed for a beach holiday literally in front of the house. We hope to return again. Lynn owner is always great with communication, thank you Lynn for another great holiday.

      Such a lovely spacious property.

All mod cons provided and scrupulously clean and well furnished. The views were wonderful and the location was great for exploring the area. Abersoch was only a short car ride away which is a great place to eat out and you can even catch a bus there at the end of the road, taking only 20 minutes. The beds were very comfortable and had beautiful linen. It felt like the owner had gone to a lot of trouble to make guests very comfortable. We would certainly love to stay here again. The property was described as having an enclosed garden but the gates didn’t seem to be able to close and there were sheep at the back. This wasn’t a problem for us as our dog is older and not so boisterous. Just thought this might be an issue for a young dog or young children. Face Family, West Midlands
