About this property

Glan Aber is an impressive, detached house sitting close to the North Wales coast in Pwllheli, Gwynedd. In the Llŷn Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this contemporary dwelling sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms and suits families, friends and couples hoping to explore breath-taking beaches, countryside, and Snowdonia National Park. Arriving at your home-from-home you'll find off-road parking to unload your luggage and step inside the bright entrance hall. Sure to please the designated chef, the open-plan living space has a well-equipped kitchen, finished to a high standard with an electric oven and hob, plenty of preparation space, and a large fridge/freezer. This sociable space also has a breakfast bar for two and a sitting area with two leather sofas to relax with a hot beverage. On summer days, open the bi-fold doors to let the outside in, and why not dine al fresco in your private, enclosed garden? There's plenty of lawn space and a swing set for little ones to play, whilst the adults relax in the sunshine. Back inside, more dining space awaits in the living/dining room with a table for six and a table for two, along with traditional furnishings, a gas fire, wall-mounted TV, and cushioned seats for you to unwind after the day's adventures. The ground floor also has a utility with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a ground-floor shower room, so you can freshen up with ease after busy beach days. The four double rooms are upstairs, all thoughtfully appointed with storage space, and one with a TV. The bedrooms are served by a contemporary bathroom with a sleek finish where you can relax in the bath or rinse in the walk-in shower, whilst your towel warms on the heated rail. When it's time to explore, Pwllheli is an excellent base for touring North Wales; play a game or two at Clwb Golff Pwllheli, stroll the golden sands of Traeth Marian-y-de, and explore the picturesque marina with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. A haven for surfers and swimmers, Abersoch is close by with three beautiful beaches, whether you want to relax or try your hand at watersports. Porth Neigwl is another idyllic beach nearby for sunbathing and admiring the scenery and is overlooked by the National Trust's Plas yn Rhiw, a 16th-century manor house with formal gardens. A little further along lies Aberdaron, a charming little village with traditional cafes, bakery, and the historic St Hywyn's Church, as well as Traeth Aberdaron and coastal walks to spot local bird life. More history awaits at Criccieth with the fascinating Castell Criccieth, whilst the bustling Porthmadog offers scenic routes on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways through pastures and forests. The Italianate village of Portmeirion is another unique, must-visit, or if you're looking for outdoor adventures, Snowdonia National Park is within reach for breath-taking hikes, Zip World Llechwedd, and the Ceunant Llennyrch National Nature Reserve. Book your next North Wales getaway at Glan Aber for the best of coast and country.

This lively market town is the unofficial capital of Wales' Llŷn Peninsula, known for its spectacular landscape, coastal walks, beaches, and golf courses. This beachfront community has stores, pubs, restaurants, and a 400-boat marina. The town has two Blue Flag-awarded beaches and is known for sailing and watersports. Criccieth's mediaeval castle and Abersoch's beaches and watersports facilities are nearby. Much of the peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the National Trust owns much of the coastline, providing isolated bays, sandy beaches, and clifftop walks, as well as animal havens like Bardsey Island. Snowdonia, Anglesey, mediaeval castles, and National Trust houses and gardens await you in Wales.
