"April Cottage is a lovely place in a small village location, it’s very relaxing and the property it’s self is charming to say the least. There is a river walk just around the back of the cottage. It is a 20 - 25 minute drive into Salisbury. The property is very clean, in fact everything was so new the fridge/freezer had not been used before. It may be a little small for a group of four people, however there was just me, my partner and the dog, so it wasn’t too bad. The TV is tiny but then again you don’t go to a place like this just to watch tv, you can do that in a holiday inn. We couldn’t get the shower to work but hey maybe that was me being a girl. This is a great place that I would recommend to anyone. Bad points: Most places have basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper this place doesn’t (nothing major just might help those who have been on a long journey, take tea bags with you). There are no shops in this village, the nearest one is 5 - 10 minutes drive away. Overall I like this place and I would stay here again and my partner says that’s high praise from me. March 2012."

" I had to wash everything first in the kitchen, everything was covered in grease.. All cupboards were full so I had no where to put my food stuff when I arrived except under the sink which is not the most hygienic of places. Less clutter would soon sort this.Supplied logs but don't tell you they would need drying out before you could burn them, stored outside in all weathers. More large drinking glasses needed, and the table could be smaller and a smaller settee in lounge would create more space.I dropped something on the floor in the lounge and it went under settee, when I moved it the dirt underneath was disgusting. "For 2 people plus a dog this property is ideal, nice and secluded location, property itself is nicely done and just the right size for staying in. Owners are on site but we had no problems and our privacy was maintained, they are on hand if needed. This small hamlet was very friendly and we had no problems and were made very welcome. The area is great for walking or as we did cycling with some great lanes and other villages plus more pubs. Nicely located not being far from other town etc. There is also a bus at the top of the street to take you into the main town."

"Very clean and comfortable property. Basically yet generally adequately equipped. Loads of good quality towels - excellent!Ideally positioned for our needs. In the absence of wifi and village pub, we would've welcomed a few more DVDs and board games to fill our evenings - luckily we had packed our own "Bananagrams"!Would also have welcomed a few more items of crockery and pieces of kitchen equipment - eg tongs. On the whole a comfortable cottage, positioned so perfectly for visiting our daughter and family, we would certainly stay again. Thank you."

"The surrounding area was beautiful and our hosts were more than welcoming by sharing their butter and oil with us!You are able to see the horses across the road from the kitchen and bedroom window and even though it was cold outside the Loft was a warm and inviting place to be.There were a selection of movies and books to read as well as a welcome guide from the hosts about the best places to go for food and to shop. There was coffee sugar and basic utensils for cooking which included a steel frying pan.Would recommend the stay to everyone"
