    Self-catering holidays in Padstow

For a holiday that's a wonderful blend of quirky traditions and modern amenities, booking one of our Padstow Cottages should be at the top of your list. On the face of it, Padstow is a working fishing port with old-school charm and rustic character. Dig a little deeper and you'll find that this chocolate-box town has plenty to offer visitors, no matter what your interests might be.

Courtesy of Rick Stein, Padstow has become something of a hotspot for foodies. His restaurant showcases local fishing and farming in delicious dishes served in classy surroundings. Celebrity-run restaurants aside, most of our Padstow Cottages are within easy reach of some lovely pubs and inns and, of course, the ubiquitous chippies. But, if fish isn't your dish, keep an eye out for the local pasties, widely-hailed as the 'best in the west'.

As you're by the sea, you might as well plonk yourself on one of the stunning beaches in the area - Chidley Pumps, Trevone and Harlyn beaches are all worth a visit. Sporting types might like to try their hand at surfing and there are plenty of surf schools in the area. Booking one of our holiday cottages in Padstow puts you within easy reach of all this and much more.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Arthur - Verified booking

Property was very clean and tidy and the interior furniture and appliances were excellent most probably brand new.

Access to the property for 90% of the walk from the designated car park was good however the last 10% was not so good especially if the grass was wet. (early mornings and rainy days). If the grassed areas were cut shorter it would have been a lot better. Maybe Horizontal blinds instead of vertical rollers as access through patio door is awkward when roller blind rolled down. Sykes HC posted the property to include the following: Washing machine & tumble dryer - incorrect There is a shared facility by Office reception. Off Road Parking for 1 - The car parking is only 1 min walk from a designated car park that isn't limited to just 1 vehicle. A superb Chalet.

Please use my comments detailed above and I also want to say how loyal your staff are who have gone that step further to accommodate us at short notice. The first year we rang after an unexpected bereavement and your staff helped find us a special place within just a few days. This year we took advantage of being repeat guests at Cowslip Cottage, only to be then invited to a surprise party on the Isle Of Man. Your staff were so helpful and moved the week we had originally booked, to our choice of future dates available. I would not need to go to any other holiday company as Cornish Horizons is 10/10 for us.

Cowslip Cottage is a comfortable well equipped home from home holiday cottage. The kitchen utensils were plentiful and all good brand makes. The beds and bedding were lovely clean and comfortable. The house is situated on a nice quiet residential area with a convenient local Tescos 5 minutes' walk away. Padstow 10 minute walk. An ideal base for beautiful cornish beaches and coastal walks. Also the cottage and the area are very dog friendly. I would use Cowslip cottage again and have recommended it to a friend just this week.

Samphire is well equipped and in an excellent location. We really enjoyed our stay in Padstow, there’s so many great places to eat and lots to explore on your doorstep. We parked in the main car park which was really reasonably priced for the week and only a minute or two walk to car from cottage. We felt that the cottage was good value for money and would be perfect for either two couples or a family of four. We really loved the two en-suite bathrooms. The house was well equipped and comfortable and spacious.

    • Mr & Mrs John And Rona McGowan - Verified booking

The cottage was everything we could have wanted and a great base for exploring the North coast or padding around Padstow. Parking was great as we feel we didn't spend the whole holiday in the car. The change of bedding and towels after the first week was great. We had everything we needed for a high quality self- catering stay. The welcome pack, Brita filter and dog bowls were a very wecome added extra as we hit some fantastic weather. Comfortable, clean and pretty, we would love to stay again in the future.
