"Cornwall itself is a fantastic place to visit and one could spend a good few weeks exploring the county. Hayle is an ideal central location as a base to tour Cornwall.Trelawn, for the price, is not really up to standard. There were a number of maintenance issues which would have been so easy to address but had not been. I can't imagine that we were the first group to point out that the conservatory leaks when it rains. The furniture is old and rickety, the kitchen had a broken cupboard door, the upstairs family bathroom window is off balance and therefore would not stay open. Unfortunately the house, although charging higher rate, had been kitted out on the cheap.Although tired and in need of some TCL the beds were comfortable, the downstairs power shower was good and the kitchen was well equipped"

"Quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the farmhouse and lack of equipment for 9 guests, particularly mugs/cups. Found a chewed up bone under one of the sofas along with other detritus. One of the bedroom doors didn’t close as bed was too long. Squeaky doors and floorboards woke up other family members. Plaster peeling off the walls and an exposed wire in one of the bedrooms. Garden not particularly dog friendly as not fully fenced or gated. I’ve stayed in much nicer places that were a lot less expensive."

"This is clearly a holiday accommodation that was created some 30 years ago and whilst perfectly clean and tidy is quite dated and minimally furnished with few homely features. The kitchen equipment provided is not really sufficient for six people if you want to cook in. The cooker is very small and pots and pans are few. The setting is delightful with a safe and secure outside area for children to play. We enjoyed our time in Ash but feel the owners need to think about updating a few things to bring it up to date."

"A large, very well equipped clean house, with a lovely garden divided into several parts. Very secure for young children, with a good play park nearby. Games room with darts, pool and snooker kept the men amused. Beaches nearby were good for young children, being miles of sand and rock pools. Surfing good too. Had to drive to all the beaches as none easily walkable from the house with young children. Supermarkets close by. Good bus services to major towns in the area."

"The cottage is good and could easily be excellent,it is marred by small items such as the kitchen not having a working tin opener or a pair of scissors. Very annoying when you need them but they aren’t there. That is not an exhaustive list but there are good points. It is quiet, comfortable, roomyAnd the hot tub was a great hit with the children. We were there for the October half term and we would go there again."
