You enter the cottage into the hallway where the slate floors run throughout adding to the character and ideal for pets. Really spacious for two there is a kitchen with dining area cosy sitting room and utility room with WC on the ground floor and a tastefully decorated king size bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Outside the patio in the garden offers the opportunity to dine al fresco or simply relax and take in the beautiful far reaching moorland views. Lovely walks in the nearby Swannacott Woods, Willow Tree Woodland Walk are 3 miles and further afield Holsworthy woods and the stunning South west coastal path a short drive away. Golfers will have the choice of several excellent courses close by offering a welcome to non members. The award winning coastal resort of Bude is approx 8 miles away and offers a choice of superb beaches and all you would expect from a leading seaside town. Widemouth Bay and the year round dog friendly beach of Black rock at the southern end also offer excellent walking and swimming opportunities. There are also a number of historic sites which are worth a visit such as the National Trust property Cotehele House, or the Victorian/Edwardian copper mine and port, Morwellham Quay. The town of Launceston, situated on the Devon and Cornwall border, has wonderful architecture and is dominated by the ruins of a Norman castle sitting high above the town. Visit the Tamar Otter Park just 3 miles away or take a trip on the steam train from Launceston through the beautiful Kensey Valley on a 5-mile round trip. Launceston is within driving distance of the seaside resorts of Bude and Padstow to the north, and Plymouth to the south, as well as the stunning Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.
