This property was very disappointing as it was not as advertised.
It was described as a luxury property. It was far from it. The garden furniture consisted of an old pub bench instead of a table and chairs. There were two other chairs that were very low to the ground with no cushions and were extremely uncomfortable. There was nowhere to put a parasol so it was not possible to sit and eat outside in the shade. I pointed this out to the owners but they did nothing. The kitchen facilities were very poor. Old, scratched saucepans that had no surface left and were difficult to clean. There were no oven trays and the cupboards smelt stale. The shower room felt like a cleaning cupboard because the vacuum and all the cleaning products were stored in there. The furniture was poor quality mdf and not nice at all. The Wi-Fi was very poor and kept cutting out. It was not possible to watch TV properly. There were extension leads and cables sticking out by the microwave. There were no cupboards to store food. I booked a massage with the property owner but they failed to communicate directions and instructions to me despite my messages requesting information. The location and setting is lovely, sadly let down by poor furniture and facilities. Certainly not relaxing and not worth the money.

We had an amazing holiday staying at Ferry View Cottage. The property was in a great location with a beautiful view over Looe and Looe River. The sitting room had a big window where you could look out while relaxing on the sofa. The cottage was in the quieter side of Looe (West Looe), which we preferred, and it had an amazing local store within an easy walking distance (5 min), which was open till 7pm. It had everything you ever needed for your holiday stay, and it also had a good delicatessen within. East Looe, where most of the shops and restaurants were, was also easy to walk to from the cottage, and this was perfect for our teenagers who could just go out by themselves. There is a large outhouse opposite the front door to store your water activity gear, which is where you'll find your freezer and washing machine. The cottage is near beaches, rivers, walks, activity facilities, which we took full advantage of. However, I would just warn you that the cottage is on a very steep uphill narrow road, as mentioned on the website, so if you have a wider-than-your-average car, you would not be able to enter the road. Other than that, we loved staying there and I would highly recommend this cottage!

We had a great stay for my mums 70th birthday getaway, however a couple of issues were picked up. Toilet seat in main bathroom was broken on arrival which we did report. Cleaning could have been a little better, dusty skirting boards, remainders of cereal left in the bottom of the kitchen bin which we noticed when putting a bin liner in and black damp mold residue on the top of the under sink cupboard door in the twin en-suit. Radiator on the ground floor hallway was constantly hissing/whistling despite trying to turn it down/up/off. Also we didnt see any tea towels in the kitchen, however when unpacking clothes we did see two in the wardrobe which appeared to be clean. It was a great stay and fabulous shops and restaurants, none of the above issues ruined our stay, just to be aware that there is only one space at the property which the road to the property is very narrow, although dad did get his Sportage up there very carefully, however if you do not mind the walk there is a paid carpark on the key.

This is a lovely cottage, with plenty of space. The living area is fantastic open and airy with delightful views over Looe. The sitting area and balcony is great. The kitchen is very well equipped and there’s plenty of space to store your food and supplies. We all found the beds very comfortable and the storage for clothes was very good . The lower rooms felt a bit a damp and chilly so we put on the heating in the evenings. Both showers were really good pleats of hot water and good pressure. The house is up a very narrow sloping road that is quite challenging and if you have a very large car or an anxious driver it would be very difficult and stressful. There are steep steps down to the cottage too. Which if you had a mobility issues or had small children or babies wouldn’t be ideal. The location for everything is fab though. Easy to walk around Looe, get the bus or the ferry. shops , beaches and restaurants are lovely friendly people everywhere. Definitely would recommend

Lovely cottage. Relaxing and peaceful views of the river and looe houses. Fairly steep hill up to the house which was fine in our automatic car (people carrier) and parking was tight but we managed it fine because it wasn’t full, however I can see it would be tricky even with a smaller car to park if it were full. Bed was extremely comfortable and decently sized and the rooms were a good size too. We hadn’t realised it was over three floors (didn’t read small print!) so not ideal with young children but can work it so that the younger ones are on the same floor in the basement. The house was quite chilly so would advise packing some warm clothes unless heatwave/warm weather forecast. Kitchen and place well equipped and a fantastic selection of board games etc to play which looked brand new.
