What our customers say about their holidays

    • Michael - Verified booking

Quality, quality, quality is what you get when you stay at Long Ing Farm.

Quality 1, as your stay gets closer, Kay sends information about your booking, directions, and attractions (Restaurants Pubs & the like) this along with your brochure listed amenities and there you have a comprehensive knowledge of items supplied. There is everything – the extensive views beyond the immaculate craftsmanship of the stone mason, the cleanliness of the grounds, the planting, the thought – a credit to you, and we’ve not mentioned the house yet. Quality 2, the greeting, the tour and explanations of all things house, you cannot but notice the quality of the house contents, the attention to detail shown by the craftsmen, this must have been and still is a passion, and still must be a love to say “if you’re going to do it, do it right” Quality 3, the hot tub, attended daily, (never intrusive) always clean & ready. The dining POD a first for us a wonderful addition for all weather outdoor dining OTHERS OF NOTE - Copious towels, the largest basket of logs I’ve seen in a rental, welcome goodies a pleasant thought, cheers! We score a 10 for Long Ing Farm Sorry to leave. Michael Croft

Long Ing Farm Cottage is beautiful.

This is more like a second home than a holiday home. Kay has ensured that everything is provided! The house is wonderfully spacious, superbly maintained and spotlessly clean. We have to make special mention of the mattresses - most comfortable holiday beds we’ve ever experienced! The view from the windows and especially the hot tub are stunning. We had a lovely walk around the farm, along the stream, past the sheep and friendly horse. It was lambing season and we were able to get up close to the lambs on our farm tour with Kay, and met Barbara and Betty, the friendly piggies. Just make sure to take your wellies - it is a farm after all! We highly recommend a stay at Long Inn Farm and hope to return.

We've just returned from a fabulous week at Vista Tasso.

The house was very spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for us all without ever feeling in each other's way. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved the views across the local area from the front of the house. The owners greeted us on arrival and took us around the house. They also kept in touch before we arrived and throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble when we contacted them. The Hot tub and table tennis were well used and a welcome addition. There are some lovely local walks and places to visit. Very close to local amenities too. All in all a really great house for a break which you can make as busy or chilled out, as you desire.

We had a wonderful stay over half term.

The Farm is lovely with great space for the kids to roam - they loved feeding veggie scraps to the pigs and visiting the pony and sheep, as well as using the playroom when it got too rainy out. We enjoyed the large, well stocked kitchen for family dinners and the cosy living room with a blazing fire, not to mention the outdoor pod and the hot tub! We were made to feel very welcome and Long Ing was a lovely base to go exploring from with drives out to the gorgeous countryside or a gentle walk over to the nearby village for a wander and a visit to the Boshaw Trout for a pint or two. Great location, lovely host and an excellent holiday. Thank you.

    • David - Verified booking

Lovely house in a lovely quiet location, yet handy for Holmfirth and/or other Towns nearby.

Good walking areas around. The hot tub was a great bonus. Host was available as required and very helpful and friendly. Bedrooms were a tad on small side but otherwise everything needed in the house was there. Aga and fire would have been great to use in winter (not required on the week we were there due to warm weather)! Close to the house of the host and with quite a bit of work going on at their house, there was occasional disturbance with vans/workmen plus dustbinmen/postmen/deliveries coming down the single track at times that aren't necessarily convenient whilst on holiday! Overall though would definitely recommend to others.
