What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Hot Tubs In Helston To Rent.

"The owner of our holiday house lives far away and, consequently, there was a complete lack of personal touch to our holiday: we let ourselves in and out and had no-one to have a friendly chat with, or to ask for help.We had chosen the house in part because it was advertised as having a playground for children right next to the house. In fact, the only play area was about 200m away and is only suitable for tiny toddlers, aged 1-2 years old. Not once did we see the play area in use, which is testimony to its uselessness. The terrace was in full view of all other house terraces and everyone using the car park, so this was not a feature which added to the attractiveness of the property. One of the smoke alarms in the house had run out of battery power, which gave rise to a shrieking trio as the alarms communicated with one another. My husband identified the source of the problem and also found that the batteries could not simply be changed, as the wiring in the alarms was welded into their batteries. The house wasn’t particularly clean. We didn’t find a single decent restaurant in the local area."

"Glenside was a great place to stay for exploring south Cornwall without having to travel to far. Lovely beaches just minutes away and all the amenities you could need also very close. The house itself was lovely and spacious with everything there you could ever need including the hot tub that was great after a long day exploring. The owner is very friendly and on hand for any issues that we had. The only real issue we had was with the garden not being fully enclosed so we had to keep a close eye on our spaniel especially when we had a visit from a wandering local dog. ( Owner of glenside has been notified and should address the situation of garden security ). All in all this is a great base for a Cornish adventure."

"On the website it was given 4 out of 5 ticks so we expected that little something extra in terms of comfort and cleanliness. It was perfectly fine for our stay but a couple of niggles were the totally uncomfortable sofa, the dirty dishes and cutlery that we had to thoroughly wash before use and the state of the towels. They were described in a review over a year old as being threadbare so we expected the owner to have replaced them by the time of our visit but sadly no. However, don't be put off by this. We had a very enjoyable stay due to it's location. The local beaches are nice and Falmouth is pleasant and unpretentious. Trebah Gardens are also worth a visit."

"This was one of the best lodges we have stayed in so far, we have had a girls holiday for the last 5 years. The personal touches made it feel very homely, every thing you need to cook was provided for. Great having two showers and toilets. Everyone slept well, fab having standard size single beds, instead of the usual very small beds in caravans, and space in all the bedrooms so we were able to get ready in comfort. We will definitely book VIP Platinum where ever we go next year."

"Cottage very cramped - sleeps 8 but only has seating for 5 in the living area and 6 around the kitchen table.Neither the shower or toilet were working correctly.Kitchen under equipped. For the cost, you would expect to have a washer/drier.We've stayed in numerous self catering cottages around St Ives and this was the worst by some way - frustrating considering it was also the most expensive. As a contrast, Tregenna Castle very efficient providing good facilities."
