What our customers say about their holidays

    • Lucy - Verified booking

We had a fantastic week at Cynefin (Easter holidays).

As a family of 6 ranging from 11-75yrs this was definitely the right property choice for all. It was really clean and fresh with a lovely welcome note from the owner. Nice touch having a couple of pints of milk, bottle of wine and some Welsh cakes waiting for us too! Views are stunning, we were lucky with weather and could see the sea from lounge windows and Parys mountain and copper mine trail isn’t too far away. The bungalow is large and really comfortable. Plenty of outside space for teenagers to play football etc even with 2 big cars parked up. My husband had to work a few days and managed fine from the ‘office’ room even with everyone in due to size of bungalow didn’t struggle with background noise on calls. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pans, Pyrex dishes and pizza trays. We had plenty of space even with all 6 of us in the kitchen area together. The bathroom was great for my elderly parent as only slight step into shower. They also managed easily enough with 2 steps up-to front door. We are already looking to book again and could easily bring our younger nephews as despite being inland, plenty for them to go at with football/snooker/air hockey table in garage. Lots of board games and jigsaws for rainy days too. Garage/game room could easily store enough bikes for all guests. The owner is fabulous, checked in (text) a couple of times and I have no doubt if there had been any issues, they would’ve been sorted out quickly. We left a textbook under a chair and hadn’t missed it until the owner found it. It was quickly posted back to us, which was great. Can’t praise this rental enough!

There where a few issues with the place however I really cannot say much too bad about it.

The thing that we thought that you might be able to improve next time is how often you come and check in the hot tub. The thing was that we used the hot tub every night so by the last day it start to become dirty and had not a very nice smell to it. So just checking on it daily making sure that there was enough chemicals in it so it wouldn't get to that point. One other thing that's just some general feedback is that some of the dishes where dirty when we went to use them. Meaning that I ended up having to wash alot of dishes before we could use them. Last thing was that we only had 2 dishwasher tablets which is fine if your only stay for 2 nights or so. However we had upgraded our holiday to stay long and the place was beautiful and had alot of different thing to do. But we could of done with mabye one or two more tablets. I understand this place is very new and it's beautiful you can see the love and care that George and Lauren have for the place, it's a love and stunning place to stay. You where both super helpful hosts and everything was lovely. I hope that everything goes well for you both. Thank you for a lovely stay and the suggestion that you made make us want to come back again!

We have just returned from a lovely stay at The farmhouse.

We chose this accommodation as it was fairly central for exploring the island and also because of the beautiful decor and facilities. We were not disappointed in the slightest. The Farmhouse is stunning with high quality fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms which were beautiful . There were little luxury extras like a coffee pod machine and milk frother and the owners kindly left us some milk so we could have a coffee following our journey. This is a recently refurbished accommodation and we felt very lucky to be staying here as one of the first guests. Each of the 3 bedrooms were spacious and had its own individual feel. The master was huge with dual aspect windows which made it light and airy. My husband and I stayed with our older teen daughter and her friend and they also loved the house and it’s contemporary yet farmhouse feel. Of course the hot tub was a winner too. I think this accommodation would appeal to families or as we also thought a group of friends or 3 couples who would have plenty of space and a choice of 3 bathrooms to ensure no queues each morning. I would recommend to anyone who prefers a more luxurious stay, I will be returning

What an incredible Christmas Holiday we had, as a reunited family, at The Farmhouse.

We all connected as we all live in different parts of the country and our stay was not only made amazing by being on beautiful Anglesey, but the property was honestly - Excellent. Beyond our expecatations. The festive decorations were stunning, elegant, simple and just enough to make our Chrsitmas holiday a very special one. The fact that this property had everything we needed, and the extras made for any easy, relaxing, and very merry and happy time. The facilities are superb, spotlessly clean and of the best quality. The hot tub (which was checked regularly) and gym were perfect for the wet and windy days, and the location of the accomodation is perfect, close enough to some really lovely places to visit, but far enough away to feel away from the hustle and bustle of life. Thanks so much to the hosts, who were available when we had a question, and communicated so quickly. Its very reasssuring to know there is somone to chat to, should you need to. Great place to stay and would 100% recommend to anyone checking out The Farmhouse.

A great space with off road parking.

Comfortable beds, super wood burner but hardly any wood available. Comfortable seating in the lounge, fabulous kitchen with everything you could want. Shower floor very slippy when wet, had to buy a bath mat for safety. The hoover was too full and blocked with ginger dog hair and the bag had split. We tried to change the bag couldn't find any new ones. Garden, front and back, very disheveled and not at all like the photograps online. One bed upstairs not changed/made. Very dusty in lounge, there were f Finger prints on the ledge over the stairs and under stairs cupboard. All indoor plants dry and virtually dead. We feel that if the owners are paying people to maintain this property in their absence, they should be aware of the shortcomings . Over the years we have stayed in many self catering cottages throughout Britain and have never had to clean up/water plants before the holiday started. We expected a higher standard for the price we paid.
