"We have been to this cottage many times now over the years & wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is a home from home, very clean & tidy & we love it. It starts with the welcoming flowers & treats. It is comfortable, spacious & very well equipped, everything you need is here. They are very dog friendly & even have food & water bowls to save bringing your own. The wonderful Bovey Tracey has many walks & places to visit not far away. There are several supermarkets & local shops which cater for all your needs. Also 2 pubs a minuets walk away. The local church is beautiful inside & the bell ringers very friendly & proud of their church.Although the cottage is close to the main road through Bovey, you cannot hear the traffic at all as it's behind the houses that line the road. It can be a bit tricky to get into Orchards Way on your first visit & is best approached going uphill. We have a large Shogun so if we can get in, cars can easily! I was in need of the local garage this visit as the car broke down. J. Sibly a minuets walk away came to me rescue & despite them being completely booked up for jobs they very kindly fitted me in & got me going again. Cannot praise them enough!"

"Whilst the setting is beautiful, this place was not as described. It is very much geared towards those with disabilities and smelt like an old peoples home. We had no heating for over a week and even after phoning 4 times no one came to fix it. It got so cold my husband came home so the baby could share the tiny double bed with me. The mattress on our bed was so thin I had to put it on the floor as the slats dug in by morning. The pool is not right next to the apartment as stated and it was never free so we didn't get to use it. As for the parking outside the appartment... That is also a lie. You can park a short walk away from the path to the apartment but risk your car sliding down the slope which mine did, 3 times. We didn't see a member of staff once in 14 days and there was nowhere to out rubbish bags. I felt bad leaving them outside. If I'm honest I felt a little unwelcome at this place but needed somewhere to stay whilst building work was being done."

"We were not happy with the rather long list of things that our dog could not do, some of which we understand (no dogs on furniture) but others were ridiculous (Not allowed to wee in the garden) If this list had been shown at the time of booking we would not have booked to stay here. The owners need to be more transparent and show this list of ‘rules’ on their booking page. We won’t be returning. We had to pay £30 extra to take our dog then spent the whole week worrying about him doing something on the list. I would suggest they don’t advertise that pets are allowed. The pet bed they provided which was only to be used in the tiny barely ventilated utility room was unfortunately very dirty. The cottage itself was really lovely, clean and very well equipped, just not pet friendly and therefore should not be advertised as such."

"A warm welcome on our arrival. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ringslade. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. The barn was very well furnished and equipped, with detailed information 'how to' about the equipment, which we found very useful. Everything worked well. Also provided was a good, thick file of places to visit, walks, leisure activities, places to eat etc. This again was well thought out and useful. Good WiFi signal. We did not use all the facilities (cinema or the fire pit) but would be great for summer. Will certainly be returning and highly recommend Ringslade. And thanks for the cream tea!Family friendly, spacious yet homely. Perfect location for the coast, Dartmoor, towns and cities. Brilliant."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at stables corner cottage with my wife and young son(almost 2). The farm and surroundings were superb. From the pool to the games room and lovely walks around the farm. My son enjoyed visiting the chickens and sheep every day and playing in the "park". The cottage itself had everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. The farm itself is situated beautifully if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet with towns near enough to get bits you need or to eat out. I would definitely stay here again, although I think I would opt for one of the bigger cottages as it was a little cramped with a toddler. All in all though a great place to stay !"
