Chudleigh, a historic wool town in Devon's picturesque Teignbridge District, is a wonderful day trip destination any time of year. The town's history may be traced back to the Saxon era, as seen by the prevalence of Saxon place names in modern day usage. The town also boasts historical attractions including the caverns at Rock and an Iron Age hillfort that overlooks the area.
