"We have just got back from a lovely week at Penny Cottage (15th-22nd September). The owners of Penny Cottage were very friendly and went out of their way to help on our arrival. We found Penny Cottage a great base for our holiday to explore Cornwall. The Cottage has many pros such as a fully equipped kitchen, great utility room, large open-plan living, large rooms, comfy beds, a powerful shower and a lovely garden. However we did find some cons with our stay such as a tight parking space (almost hit the wall a few times), a little misleading with a note left saying it would be appreciated to leave some money to cover the cost of the tumble dryer if we used it when this is a feature on the website saying it’s included for our stay, poor flushing toilet (the flusher is going), was told we had full BT TV package but this wasn’t the case and a mouldy shower. Although we did find some cons during our stay, we would definitely stay again as they didn’t have a huge effect on our stay and we really enjoyed our week at Penny Cottage."

"The cottage was well laid out and quite well equipped. We self catered most nights and had enough utensils to do what we required. It is quite a way down narrow roads to shops, pubs etc.The bedrooms, bathrooms and living area were excellent. Beds comfortable and lounge furniture good. Sadly no sun so conservatory not used but only 4 chairs for an 8 bed let could have led to some arguments. Garden ok, but as gardeners we wanted to tidy up the surrounding shrubs. The weather was never warm enough for the beach although the excellent one at Carlyon Bay is very close. However we visited some beautiful gardens and houses and the cottage is ideally placed for touring the county. Key box very difficult to open."

"The Kilns is a very spacious property and has all of the amenities you would need except for a washing machine and wi-fi. There is a laundry at the end of the block where you can also access the wi-fi, but it’s just a shame you don’t have everything in your own holiday home. Other than that, cannot fault it. The owner was friendly and accommodating, leaving a bottle of wine for us on arrival. The house was stocked with plenty of towels, some toilet paper and all the kitchen utensils. A cot and high chair were also provided for the baby. Not a bad location at all. About 15 minutes to the Eden Project, beaches within a half hour drive and some supermarkets, petrol stations and chip shops nearby."

"The S84590 is a wonderful home from home, with everything you could possibly need for a family holiday provided. The goody basket was a lovely treat, from which we made delicious cream teas. Caron took the trouble to pop in on her way home from work to see if we had everything we needed. The beds were so comfy and cosy, we all slept really well. The little garden was bathed in sunshine all day long and the heating made the cottage nice and cosy in the mornings and evening when the autumn chill set in. We really cannot fault this property and would highly recommend it for a nice, cosy, comfy stay in Cornwall! Thank you Caron."

"Good location to access most points of Cornwall. Very spacious house. The people were friendly. The let down was the cleanliness of the house mainly the kitchen. When we arrived there was food and grease left on plates, cutlery, trays. We spent 30 mins cleaning then gave up and got the staff to come and look and ended up taking 2/3 of the equipment away but said it looked clean to them. It was disgusting and is apparently checked before each first but clearly wasn’t. WiFi could only be accessed in laundry room which was fine to go to however it only worked 2 days. I wouldn’t recommend unless you don’t expect much."
