What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In Sithney.

"The cottage was just the job for two people. Comfortable, reasonably equipped and roomy enough. The place was spotless and the mattress was firm which suited us. The shower was adequate but was tricky to get right and not very powerful. The hotel it is attached to was quite old fashioned which you will either like or not. We didn’t eat there so cannot comment on the food. The surrounding grounds were lovely. The location is quite a bit out of Falmouth but a taxi is less than a tenner and there is a bus 5 minutes walk away. Also 15 minutes away is a great pub. Good food, busy and very friendly. A shop too so what more do you need? This is a good place and I recommend it. If you’re into dogs you can bring them. If you’re not then the slight doggy smell might be slightly off putting. But it went over a couple of days (or we got used to it) so not a show stopper. The price is ok. You get what you pay for and I’d happily repeat the experience. We had a lovely time. Hope this review helps."

"The location and building is fantastic. Steeped in history, beautiful surroundings and so close to the coastline. The accommodation itself would be more comfortable if it was cleaned more thoroughly. Also practical information would be beneficial such as what to do with the rubbish bags, is there anywhere to recycle? and instructions for all electrical items. Also the main huge downstairs windows have net curtains but no actual curtains allowing anyone to see in from outside in the evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there and with a few minor changes it would be absolutely perfect."

"We had a lovely stay at this cottage/farmhouse. It was so warm and cosy with a modern woodburner in the living room and a warm AGA in the kitchen. It is a very spacious house too so it was great for our family get together. The property is not the most modern so if you are looking for a more rustic/country feel this place is ideal. We loved waking up and going for walks in the country side. There is a footpath right by the property so it was ideal! It was also a great location as it was not too far from penzance for all your supplies. Overall we had a lovely stay, thank you!"

"A superb cottage in fantastic gardens and only 5 minute walk to the harbour and cafe, through the churchyard. A supermarket was only 10/15 minute drive away via Flushing and Penryn so lack of local shop was not a problem. Cornwall has fantastic Gardens to visit and these were easily reached from the cottage. The cottage gave us privacy with your own garden seating area, ideal for relaxing with a drink before bedtime. We were very happy we found Lawithick Barn and will be recommending it to our family and friends and hope to return next year.Bill and Sue"

"A nice cottage, however its becoming a bit worn and tired in places and needs a bit of TLC now. Ie Bathroom, Light not working outside, light not working by mirror. And for the money paid for a weeks stay I would have expected better. Charge for dogs of £10 per dog per night is rather allot especially when you have 2 dogs. Other properties in Cornwall charge a maximum of £25 per night or free of charge. For this reason we wont be re-booking again at Farrier Cottage which is a real shame."
