"We have just returned from a fabulous New Year Break with friends at the Great South & Courtyard Barn. As a group of 18 we needed to rent two of the three property’s on offer which was great, as so hard to get accommodation for large parties. We were greeted on arrival by the owner Lorna which was a lovely touch & she took us around the two properties. The barns were extremely clean, with lovely bedding & towels and fitted to a great specification with underfloor heating downstairs. The accommodation offered a good mix of rooms, with the very large kitchen & diner as the central hub. For a large property it does have quite a small lounge area in comparison to other property’s we have rented, however the children took this area over & the adults spent most our time around the large dining/table. In some respects this worked well as those working in the kitchen weren’t isolated off from socialising too. Lorna gave us a great recommendation for a local pub the Vernon Arms for a NYE lunch. Her husband kindly helped us on rubbish day to get all our bins out correctly. I would highly recommend this property & wish the friendly helpful owners all the best."

"Excellent value for money, plenty of space for a large group of people (there were 17 of us and it would easily have fitted a few more) and very well equipped in terms of kitchen gadgets, crockery and games. A plus for us was that it was relatively easy to get to from London - we organised transport via taxi from Kings Lynn via the lovely Chris from Near and Far taxis, who was incredibly helpful getting us all to and from the house. The only thing I would recommend is make sure you bring enough towels with you! The description doesn't say towels included, which is fair enough, but I called up and asked to make sure and the owner said they were included. There are a few, but not enough for 17 people. Also it took us a while to start the fire as there were plenty of big logs provided, but only some paper and not enough smaller pieces of wood, so we had to use our hands to tear strips off the bigger chunks to use as tinder as we couldn't find an axe anywhere. All in all it was a thoroughly lovely weekend and I will definitely recommend Manor Farm."

"Fantastic place to stay for large group of people (14.)Teenagers found plenty of outside playing places, rooms were all big,and the 2 sitting rooms allowed for a computer gaming room!Rural location but easy access to main roads. Had some great nights eating huge meals round a massive farmhouse table and then 14 of us watching dvds around an open fire. Just a few drawbacks, some bathrooms had no locks, the top shower would not drain and the big shower kept falling off the wall, there weren't enough dishes for everyone,so we bought cheap plastic ones! The cooker was missing a grill pan and there only seemed to be limited cookware. On the plus side though, the coal and logs were freely provided, cyclists had a good place to store bikes,2 fridge freezers to allow stocking up,we could sit 14 at a table and a Christmas tree was provided to allow us to have a somewhat delayed Christmas meal. The house needs a bit of tlc and maybe a bit of updating but we enjoyed ourselves anyway."

"Pinewood House was the chosen location for the celebration of my 70th Birthday and what an excellent choice it proved to be. My group was comprised of 15 including my 7 Grandchildren ages ranging from 4 to 11. The house has 8 bedrooms so plenty of sleeping space for all. The rest of the house is spacious with a wonderfully equipped kitchen. The big and little kids alike enjoyed the use of the pool table. We were pleased with the little touches provided by the owner i.e. a bottle of white wine, bottle of elderflower presse, crisps, a box of chocolates and supplies of tea and coffee and milk.So overall very impressed with the house. The other great thing about Pinewood House is its location. It is a short walking distance to the beach and the town and very close to a variety of takeaway food outlets. We had a fantastic long weekend stay and would not hesitate to recommend the house to any large groups looking for a great place to stay in Hunstanton."

"I stayed here with some friends for a weekend of shopping and a catch up. It was fantastic to have the space of a large house with a huge table to eat around and a large lounge to relax in. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to entertain (although a decent frying pan would be good). The only down side is that there is a smoke alarm in the kitchen which is very sensitive and gets activated just by using the toaster. The use of the hot tub was a treat, even on a miserable Sunday morning in December! The location of the house is great for the shops - a ten minute walk, and close to the train station. We had some shopping delivered to the house but there are some mini supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk for any missing essentials.Overall this is a fantastic home for a holiday exploring Norwich and the surrounding area, and I would recommend it for all."
