"Beautiful cottage renovation in a great locationThis immaculate, well-equipped semi-detached cottage has beenthoughtfully renovated with the comfort and convenience of holiday guestsin mind. We stayed over Easter (two adults, two six year olds), andwould happily stay again. Very generous landlady with a wonderfulwelcome pack. The upstairs has surprisingly good head height, and the roof veluxes,French doors off the kitchen and modern decor bring a light airy feelto the whole property. Extensive outside space with comfortableseating / dining set. Great use of available interior space withextra storage in the downstairs cloakroom and upstairs in the walk-in wardrobe. The large shower room with velux was a delight. The opulent sofa initially seemed large for the living space, but after an exhausting day at Bewilderwood it was very much appreciated! The front double bedroom has a better view over fields and the most comfortable bed, while the rear twin room overlooks neighbouring gardens and has better storage. The cottagey stairs are steep and narrow, but not at all tricky.Worth noting that this lovely little house, whilst in a pretty and serenely quiet location, is not the remote idyll that some holidaymakers may seek. It is part of a small terrace set off the main Horning / Wroxham road, somewhat reminiscent of quiet Victorian residential areas in Cambridge and Norwich. There is a pleasing sense of local community here, and neighbouring families were welcoming and considerate. This part of the Broads is great for young children and adults alike, with Hoveton Hall Gardens, Wroxham Barns and the villages of Horning and Wroxton such a short drive away, each offering lovely places to eat out. A lovely break at any time of the year."

"This is a well equipped, comfortable, clean cottage but I do have mixed feelings about it. The top floor with it’s open plan kitchen, dining, living room is well equipped and very comfortable with a lovely balcony with rattan furniture and open views (nicer than the photo). The lower floor has a lovely bathroom with a large, powerful shower and bath. The 2 bedrooms are roomy with lots of storage but take some coat hangers. The main bedroom has what could be a very nice terrace but it needs attention: weeds are sprouting through the paving which is desperately in need of a jet wash. In terms of the setting, it is true that there are lovely waterside walks and a nice pub/restaurant 2 minutes away. However, the description fails to mention the boat repair and storage business that is right neck door and which has cars, boats and huge boat trailers coming and going all day long and which you have to navigate through to reach the cottage and park your car. Not quite the ‘peaceful’ setting described. We did have a good holiday there and enjoyed using the living area and the bottle of wine kindly left by the owner but overall feel it could be better and is a little overpriced."

"We had an excellent week at Chestney House, helped by fab weather for our week. We had no issues whilst we were there. This was a family holiday for six adults and two babies and the accommodation provided everything we needed for us all. The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating and a separate dining room and the kitchen is very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and two of the bed rooms had sea views. I suppose if occupants are all travelling separately the only issue is the parking, there is only room for one car at the rear of the property, via the owner we bought a couple of two week parking permits for the area which meant we could park across the road which made life easier and we were able to use this permit in Kings Lynn when we visited. The house is a very short walk to the shops and seafront, but does not suffer from noise. So I would thoroughly recommend the accommodation and whilst we had no problems the owner is very approachable and available should you have any issues."

"Overall the cottage and location was fine. As a professional person who looks forward to my holidays, I was a little disappointed with some key points.1. The double bedroom had no windows that could be opened, so it was stuffy.2. The TV was complicated to turn on in conjunction with set top box.3. The kitchen equipment could have been of better quality and the knives were all blunt.4. The shower was clogged with limescale.5. The garden was a little overgrown and un-cared for.6. The owners dogs kept barking late into the evening, setting our dogs off constantly.7. We would have appreciated a little more information from the owner as to dog friendly places and things to do rather than sift through a raft of mostly out of date leaflets and a hand scribbled list of pubs that look like other visitors had entered into the folder themselves. It all just felt a little short of anything other than ok."

"This was a great place for a family holiday. The place was clean and well equipped when we arrived. The location was excellent and Hunstanton has everything for a young family our grandchildren are 10, 4, 4 and 6.Tv and WiFi worked well and the seperate dining room and lounge worked really well. There were good toys and games available. A joy for me was that there was a great deal to do and good shops within walking distance. The separate loo and bathrooms was great with8 of us. The only slight disappointment was the lack of a dishwashers. Hand washing dishes for 8 is time consuming. The washing machine was a great help. Anyone booking should be aware that there are a lot of stairs to climb as the apartment is in a four storey building and occupies the top 3 floors. We had a great time and have already recommended it to friends one of whom has already made enquiries for next year"
