The cottage although old is in bed of repairs.

The beds are very small and uncomfortable. Only 1 wardrobe for a 6 bed cottage . Bathroom seals around bath poor. Bath seat over bath in order to shower is unsafe . Loose and slipping off. Can’t stand in bath to shower . Not enough equipment in kitchen . No large pans . No serving dishes. Need larger pots for cooking . We struggled and it wa only 2 of us. We received an email from the owners which was fine about what to do but they bordered on the shout and rude when repeated all around the cottage in capital letters and exclamation marks. We found it quite upsetting and anxiety was high . We have stayed in many cottages before but felt they well over stepped the welcome mark. The room was cluttered but ok . The main rug was dirty , the cottage was clean b it didn’t smell fresh . The views were the only good thing . We would Have been very disappointed if we had paid high season price . This cottage is really only for 2 adults and small children not 6 adults . Hope this feedback helps . Ps the welcome letter said the owners may call in to check all was ok , they didn’t but we felt we couldn’t relax in case they descended on us to check up on us . We won’t be booking this cottage again .

      The place was lovely.

The we got there late and we got lost. If there was a light on outside it would have been some help. we noticed a few places had flag outside so was easy to find. It was great they had a file to give us information of the cottage, But just a thought the basic things could have been laminated and put up on the wall. Only because after we had cleaned up my son went to take the bin over to were it stated on in the file. Only to find the bin locked He forgot where the key was so left the bin outside came back to the cottage, we looked in the file, he then went back to the bill to look for the key, only to find a very rude man telling him off. My son explained he forgot under which plant pot the key was and only went back to the cottage to check. the Gentleman was just rude and kept saying what did it say in the file, this went on for 5 mins until he told my son. If they are the owners of the property I suggest they be a bit more polite to people who rent it out. Apart from that it was a lovely holiday, I bumped my head a few times, but only to be expected. This was a lovely place but would suggest what they say on the brief upstairs is only suitable for kids.

Pat welcomed us on arrival and showed us around her caravan of which she was obviously proud.

She also set out her expectations of us in looking after it! The caravan is about 17 years old but in very good condition and well maintained. It doesn't have a washing machine or dishwasher but there is a laundry facility on site. The decor is quite homely and to Pat's taste. There is a wifi and a modern TV with netfix etc. We were a family group of 3 adults and 3 children so the Wifi was important especially as the site is quite remote with little else for children to do. The first night (Saturday) we went to Aberdaron to eat out but all three restaurants were full and there was a huge queue for fish and chips! We eventually drove to Nefyn and had a nice curry in an Indian Restaurant called Bombay Joes (Open until 11pm and good availability. Every Restaurant on the way was fully booked and last orders were 8:30pm! Aberdaron is a cute but very small place and with some bad weather coming in we decided to go home a day earlier than planned.

We had a lovely 2 week holiday in the cottage.

The coast path and beaches of the Llyn Peninsular are beautiful. The cottage has lots to recommend it and I would go back. It has all the kitchen equipment you need and the sitting rooms are comfortable. however, I would not be the first, from reading the visitors book, to say that the bed in the main bedroom does need replacing. It is uncomfortable and noisy when you turn over. The garden is covered in slate to supress the weeds but you can't just then leave it. It is now very overgrown with tall grass along all the paths and the bramble is now taking over. It just needs someone to go and spend a bit of time pulling up and cutting back. DVD player not working despite putting in new batteries. Does the ITV signal always go off at 9.30?! And no Wifi but lots of attempt has been made to get it if the yards of wiring is anything to go by. So all very fixable. And Penllech beach is so close and the coast path in either direction just great.

The cottage was clean and tidy on arrival.

Everything that we needed to relax for a week was available in the cottage. Despite it's remote location the 4G signal worked and we could get most of the main tv channels. Not that we watched much telly as the views are stupendous when the clouds lift and the night sky is amazing. There are wonderful local walks from the cottage where you can see how the tip of the Peninsula is surrounded by the sea. We visited some lovely places, Plas yn Rhiw and it's great cafe and garden, Llanbedrog ( stunning cafe), Abersoch ( Crust does unique and Delicious pizzas), Porth Neigwl, Aberdaron ( great fish bar) and Porth Or ( cafe on the beach), all within 15 miles, along narrow lanes brimming with berries and wildflowers and birds. Pheasants, rabbits, choughs, buzzards, all sorts of birds, insects and butterflies can be seen in and from the garden. This is a wonderful place to stay if you seek peace, beauty and wildlife. We hope to return.
