On sunny evenings, step outside and dine alfresco, fire up the barbecue or try your hand at pizza making with the pizza oven. When the evening draws to a close slope off to sleep in one of three bedrooms; choose between two king-sizes with en-suite shower room or a family room with a single and bunk beds serviced by a bathroom and ground-floor shower room. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic setting venture into the heart of Aberdaron to stock up on all your self-catering essentials at local stores or treat your loved ones to a meal out at The Ship Hotel. The village is also home to the glorious, golden shores of Traeth Aberdaron; while away days here soaking up the sun, splashing around with the kids in the sea or walking along the coastline to take in the picturesque sea views. Follow the coast along to the National Trust site of Plas yn Rhiw a charming 16th-century manor house with formal gardens overlooking the bay or venture further afield to the famous Eryri National Park home to an abundance of outdoor activities including watersports, climbing, cycling and hiking; the brave of you may even try to summit Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)! All this and more awaits at Ael Y Fron.

Aberdaron, a small fishing community, is nestled between two streams and the ocean. Lime-washed fishermen's cottages, cafes, shops, hotels, and the church of St. Hywyn straggle up the hills and give Aberdaron its unique character. There is a promenade on both sides of the river's mouth where you can sit and watch the sailing boats and regattas in the bay. A National Trust information centre and parking lot are also available. Pwllheli and Abersoch, two popular tourist destinations, are not far away. Explore magnificent castles and secluded coves, and take advantage of the nearby fishing, watersports, and golfing. The biggest dissapointment was no heat or lights in the conservatory , you supply an extension lead but no heater . Where were we suppose to eat our Xmas dinner ?

We felt there should of been some soap in the 4 bathrooms on arrival. The shed would not close and was blown at an angle in the strong wind we had one night but we pushed it back in place. The garden was beautiful and the chihuahuas loved running around the large garden but because of their small size we had to put slate tiles against the bottom of the gates so they couldn't get out. All Y Fron is an idyllic and peaceful place to spend time with family.

Minor issues 3 of the cups leak & have been put in the cupboard above the sink. The living room blind needs mending/replacing & the shed outside is unstable. Maybe change directions to its the first house on the left as opposed to opens up on the left as we drove past it, not helped because on google maps it identifies it incorrectly as further down the lane to the right.
