A visit to East Devon would not be complete without exploring the picture-perfect village of Beer, nestled on the Jurassic Coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestled on the edge of the South West Coast Path, Beer boasts some of the most stunning coastal walks in the country; head north to the charming seaside town of Seaton (2 miles), boasting a 3-mile riverside tram railway ride, or head west to Branscombe (2.5 miles) to admire its colourful beach huts. Closer to home, while away an afternoon relaxing on a deckchair at Beer’s shingled beach, embraced by limestone cliffs, or dive into the local history at Beer Quarry Caves, both half a mile away.

Rock Cottage is a stunning property on the edge of Beer, don’t let that put you off as we absolutely loved this cottage, perfect for our 3 teenage daughters and a friend, plus our 2 large dogs. So quiet we didn’t hear storm ‘Ciaran’ at all!!
