    Newlyn Holiday Cottages

Newlyn is a seaside town in southwest Cornwall - home to England’s largest fishing port and part of the Penzance civil parish. Holiday cottages in Newlyn are favoured by those looking to explore the local area as their competitive transport links and central locale make a great base to travel through the town and further afield.

While fishing remains the principal industry of Newlyn, the town also now plays home to a variety of pleasure boats and yachts, with plenty of pubs and restaurants dotting the harbour. Just a stone's throw from nearby Penzance, you can spot beam trawlers, crabbers, small open boats and longliners frequenting the port – with some even selling their wares as they touch back to shore. The white-painted cottages throughout the town are separated by steep, narrow alleyways that wouldn’t look out of place in a novel setting from yesteryear and the hundred-year-old town walls remain in place at both the north and south piers.

Newlyn holiday cottage bookings are protected by the Snaptrip best price guarantee to ensure great value - and, with thousands of properties listed on the site, you’re bound to find the perfect place for your next getaway.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Justine - Verified booking

      Our stay was lovely.

Well equipped, so close to the beach and St Michael’s Mount. It was nice keeping the car in the garage instead of on the road or parked away from the property. Was great having wifi as phone signal can be almost non existent in the property. Bed was really comfortable and the view from the main bedroom is amazing. It was exactly what we wanted for a short break. Doggy loved the space too. Couple of things to mention and tbh are very minor in my opinion, the clothes dryer could do with replacing simply because it doesn’t latch into place on the one side, the power shower pulses but it wouldn’t stop me staying again, and it might have been nice for a little blanket or some treats for the dog as a little welcome gift but I think that’s just personal preference. Either way I will definitely book again as it was perfectly located for exploring South West Cornwall.

Nana’s house is beautifully furnished and well equipped.

The location is perfect and the views from the master bedroom are breathtaking of St. Michaels Mount. It was a surprise treat to wake up, draw the curtains back and relax with a cup of tea whilst taking in the magnificent view. The only real downside was the parking, it’s super narrow and tight. We have a long car and it didn’t fit in the garage. I had to navigate my husband into the space on arrival and departure from the house. There is no window or air vent in the toilet which you need with it being so close to the kitchen. Also there was a wipe left on the sofa and the cleaners bag left on the doorstep on our arrival. She must have left in a hurry. All in all we really enjoyed our holiday in beautiful Marazion and the last two points are only minor discrepancies. We would definitely revisit Nana’s house if we had a smaller car.

      Absolutley perfect location!

1 minute from nearest beach and local shops, Marazion has everything you need for a lovely family break. The cottage itself was beautifully presented but could of done with a deep clean as we found the odd cobweb. There was a slight musky smell (in the kitchen cabinets) and it would of been nice if there was heater in the toilet (the seat was cold at night & morning) We would happily come back again, love Marazion and the surrounding areas, kids loved the walks on the rocks and to St michaels mount aswell as the play park near the long stay car park. Garage is very handy! We had a hyundai tucson SUV which fit in perfectly. All of us had an excellent sleep in the comfy beds and the downstairs layout was perfect for a small family.

      Lovely little cottage.

Beautifully situated. I did write in the visitors book I couldn't work out how to get the normal television programme on. Perhaps an idiots guide would be good. The shower really needs updating it just spurts out water. There is nowhere to hang clothes when it's been raining or did a bit of washing in the machine, the airer is broken, which was reported in previous times. I tried ringing Sykes to see is we could have a number to ring to sort the television out but couldn't get through, I felt we were a big cut off with no emergency number. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable,we had a lovely holiday and by the way, once you've managed to park once, it's quite easy after that.

Lovely cottage, ideally located to access centre of Newlyn, Penzance plus the coast.

Enjoyed Lamorna Cove and nearby Perranthunoe beach for their Cornish beauty and charm. Comfy beds and sofa. Private pretty terrace to sit on - we were out there every morning and most eves. Was secure for our two dogs. Although there is no parking with the property, a car park is around the corner and costs only £15 for a whole week. Friendly pub, the Red Lion, literally at the bottom of the lane. Only problem was with the wifi which wasn’t working and the temporary dongle was intermittent. Minor issue though! Everything we needed was there and scones, cream jam and milk on arrival. Great stay and we’d love to come back.
