Private parking for 1 small car. No smoking. . Station House is found in the middle of the beautiful village of Staveley, just 10 miles away from the M6, while also in the middle of the Lake District National Park. You have local pubs and cafés as well as regular trains and buses nearby to set you off on your Lake District holiday. A local brewery is just a 100 yards away where you can experience real Cumbrian ales.

The ever popular Windermere is only an 8-minute drive from Station House, allowing you access to some of the most beautiful scenery that the Lake District has to offer, with many local walking and cycle routes available, there is something different to do every day.

The market town of Kendal is just 4 miles in the opposite direction with the River Kent running through the middle allowing some amazing walks, as well as some small shopping centres and larger supermarkets in the area.

This property is situated next to Staveley train station offering amazing access to the train line, please note that the train line does run past the rear of the property, there is minimal noise as the trains are only just setting off/stopping. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

    A wonderful place to stay in the centre of Staveley.We liked the lay out and it was furnished to a high standard.Internet worked fine and the shower excellent.Close to the Railway Station and all amenities in the village.Excellent value for money.We will definitely return.

    As mentioned by other reviews, this is such a cosy and ideally located cottage. Its such a shame that a few minor details are neglected i.e. torn shower curtain and hole in bedroom lightshade. Incongruous really when the rest of the place is obviously cared for.Also the main reasons for my choice of this venue were that it had a log fire with complimentary wood and Christmas decorations mentioned in the description - neither were actually available which was a disappointment for my two granddaughters.One major concern may also be that the top floor does not have any fire escape facilities should there be an emergency!

    Stayed 3 nights with our 6 month old cavapoo, we all enjoyed the stay. Had all we needed equipment wise, including dog bowls. A visitors book would be good addition.Great pub, and brewery (both dog friendly), convenience store, chip shop, post office and bus stops for 555 (recommend for break from driving, finding parking spaces) a few minutes walk away. Even closer is Staveley train station.Would caution regarding parking space - only suitable for small cars, better parking on road.
