"S74008 is a purpose built holiday let. Although finished to a nice standard, we personally we found it rather clinical. The sofa in the lounge is rather small so after a long day exploring in the cotwolds it was hard to relax (my partner is 6ft2) and the single beds didn't do anything for the romantic in us ! Looking at the previous occupants the majority appear to be couples so I would suggest the single beds are replaced with a nice big kingsize bed. Also, it was difficult to get a Wi-Fi connection as this is extended from the owners property so the only way to stay connected is to position your device on the window ledge facing the owners house, which made lazy browsing impossible. (you had to perch on a chair by the kitchen sink) plus there was no 3/4g connection either ! The owner did explain he was having some issues with wi-fi and was waiting for the Engineer to come out on Tuesday (2 days after we left), but I did read some similar comments from 3 months ago so I would check before booking. All in all, a good location for Bicester shopping village, a clean and well maintained property, with some lovely touches such as the lemon cake on arrival, but this didn't make up for the rest ! To be honest we left a day early as we wanted to wake up in our own comfy bed and browse the web :)"

"Good cottage, very clean, excellent shower, comfy beds, two chairs in lounge could have been comfier but Ok for short periods. Problem with the fridge/freezer, the fridge part apparently not working and only just kept cool by the freezer below. Brought to the attention of the owner who was unable to get an engineer out until the day we left. The other issue is the fire alarm in the kitchen is so sensitive that every time you open the oven door the fire alarm goes off. The solution is to take or buy a cheap shower cap to put over he alarm when cooking. Remember though to remove it afterwards!Handy location for several counties and the main section of the Cotswolds."

"Highly recommended. It's the cleanest site we've stayed at, is very well equipped, comfortable and with bigger rooms, is a lovely place all round. The second bedroom is just as charming as the first. We went for quiet and a green view and were not disappointed. We also saw the rare Red Kites every day. We appreciated the welcome pack of drinks, biscuits, wine and chocolates. While the owners are in the attached building, we had privacy and knew they were there to help if we needed it. (we didn't) We would happily stay there again."

"A sweet little cottage, just a few steps away from being great! It was located excellently for all of the Cotswolds. Lacked care and attention to detail inside, ie furnishings. Felt more of a base and very much a holiday let of years gone by. We nevertheless had a really pleasant stay and would probably book again, but we'd also look at other properties close by.A few better chairs and seating, better rugs etc doesn't cost a fortune and would make all the difference, for years to come. So give S24871 the TLC it deserves."

"We stayed here for a week to visit friends and attend a family wedding nearby. Perfect accommodation with comfortable beds, digital shower and well equipped kitchen. Great food also in gastro pub opposite. Gravel driveway is difficult to walk on for anyone with mobility problems. Laura and her husband provided a cream tea welcome and additional fan for the very hot weather. The stable is excellant , clean, good wifi and TV and with attractive furniture."
