What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Hot Tubs In Oxfordshire To Rent.

"We booked Tudor stables for the following reasons, dog friendly, location and hot tub (we're hikers and love a post hike hot tub!). We were dismayed to find that actually Tudor stables does not have a hot tub. The hot tub is located next door at the larger cottage (The Dingles). Obviously a huge disappointment as this was one of our reasons for booking. We were told that we were able to use the next door hot tub for part of the week due to The Dingles being empty. Additionally we were told that we got an excellent price for the stables and we should accept that there is no hot tub. Not the point, we suggested readvertising. So yes, we had part week use of the hot tub but be aware, this is not belonging to the stables and presumably not available if The Dingles is booked out. Luckily we tried not to let this huge disappointment ruin our time. Secondly, if you are a fan of cleanliness, this isn't the place for you. Luckily I am the kind of person that takes anti bac wipes when I go away and boy, did we need them. It was quite obvious that the stables had not been cleaned prior to out arrival. I have pictures of this also. The bathroom was particularly filthy. However bedsheets did appear clean which was one saving grace. Midweek the heating seemed to take a turn for the worst and the Tudor stable doors have maybe a centimetre space at the top so as you can imagine, pretty chilly. We spoke to the owner who kindly allowed us to stay in The Dingles which we very much appreciated (wood stove, more radiators). So all in all, if you can overlook the hot tub debarcle, the remarkable uncleanliness and unrealiable heating, I'll move on to the positives...Great location (although pub that's supposed to be one mile aware is derelict). Easy access to chipping norton which is lovely. The actual stables and the Dingle are beautifully built with quirky features and lots of character. The actual farm that Tudor stables is on has a lovely creek running through it making for a lovely evening stroll. Wifi is reliable. So would I recommend to others? Being as objective as I can and brutally honest, I would suggest the owner gets a cleaner and someone that is able to organise well, only after this, would I recommend. This place has masses of potential but for me, it's a no no."

"We were over for a family wedding and to visit family who live around swindon and Oxford. We were slightly apprehensive about staying at the same location as cottage owners as we like our privacy but they respected that and only popped to say hello and goodbye and to ask if we had all we needed.Im confused why anyone would want to stay in a holiday cottage and see more of the owners ! (other comment on here) Facilities were excellent, the cottage is of premium high spec, the hot tub amazing and immaculate! My only request is for dog walk guideance as it was hard to find the footpath and work out where you can/can’t walk.We are horse owners and understand how people don’t like strangers around their equines and equipment so we felt very cautious where we could/couldn’t walk.I eventually spoke to a horse owner on the livery yard who asked if I knew where to walk, she was lovely and pointed all the non road footpaths and walls out,we enjoyed our morning and evening walks next to the small river and appreciated not having to walk down the main road. We had some lovely days out to Whitney and Oxford (all easily accessible including a bus ride away from Bampton ) we ate out at some lovely pubs, the trout and then a more premium meal at the windmill ! All were amazing ! I want to thank the owners of the lodge for letting their lovely holiday home and making it dog friendly as it’s so hard to find a top quality place to stay that excepts dogs ! We hope to come back soon ! Gary,Natalie and Nova the German shepherd !"

"This is not really a winter let. The immediate surroundings including the tub area and outside sitting is untidy and looks uncared for although in summer this could be very pleasant. There was no working underfloor heating although it was working effectively in the Dingle. Mrs Chapman supplied fan heaters but it was unfortunate that our visit coincided with an extremely cold spell. We were encouraged to use the bathroom in the Dingle which saved the situation and also a bedroom which we did not take up as the bed was the only warm place in the cottage and it was comfortable. The washing machine on the first and only attempt to use it flooded the kitchen. Mrs Chapman was difficult to locate around the estate and the only time we left a message on her landline the problem was solved by the time she belatedly listened to it.Having said all that, the general surroundings could be beautiful in season but a little tidying up would be a big help-first impressions are important."

"It was our October half term in the Midlands and we wanted some time away as a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and our pet dog). The lodge is excellent. The facilties and spec are first class and the hot tub on cool autumn evenings after days out is a treat and our daughters loved it. The fact towels, linen etc are provided is a really nice touch and saved us having to use our car roof box for luggage. The setting and luxury of the lodge is perfect for family time and a good base to explore the Cotswolds. When we arrived there was good detailed information cards waiting for us which was a nice touch and appreciated, we can't praise this accommodation enough, we definatly plan to return in the future, a great family break in beautiful accommodation and setting"

"This is a really great property. It’s spacious and light and airy, with a lovely modern feel. The kitchen was really well equipped and all very clean. The location is really convenient - although we didn’t really leave and explore there’s plenty to do nearby. The hot tub was a hit! Lovely and warm and clean and the hot tub towels were a bonus as well! The lawn at the back of the property is huge and had the weather have been nicer we’d certainly have spent more time out there. My only ‘watch out’ for people booking would be that the wooden floors upstairs are a bit creaky and also because the bedrooms are on a mezzanine above the living areas, there’s a risk that early risers and late sleepers disturb those upstairs. Would definitely recommend!"
