"Lovely cottage, surrounded by hundreds of apple trees of a fruit orchard on the verge of the tiny village of Upton. It was clean, comfortable, silent and the landlords made it feel like home on our first holiday to England. Much space for children to play in front of the cottage, even with a small tree house. The homely George & Dragon Pub is within walking distance (5 min), in the surrounding villages are many opportunities to go out for food. London can be reached within an hour by train from Ditcot. Oxford is just a jump by train or car. We intended to visit Oxfordshire and the Chiltern Hills to discover the beautiful countryside of "Midsomer county" so often admired on TV, and we were not disappointed. So many film locations to visit with lovely churchyards, buildings and the whole countryside is "Barnaby Country". What an exciting surprise that even one real midsomer murder episode has been shot at Upton Fruit farm in May 2011. August 2011."

"Stayed at S45538 for a few days between Christmas and New Year. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and welcome hamper left by the owners was excellent, containing some additional seasonal items such as home made Christmas cake. There was also a small Christmas tree, complete with lights, and a book about Christmas Carols. The owners were helpful and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. They gave some good recommendations on local places to eat, and, as with previous Snaptrip accommodations, we would not hesitate to return here in the future. Perfect place to stay if you like country walks and peaceful surroundings!"

"Beautiful and spacious cottage in a pretty, peaceful location. Lots of wildlife to see from the cottage itself and lovely walks on the doorstep. Very well placed for sight-seeing and days out and well located for rail enthusiasts! Several National Trust properties within a short drive, Blenheim Palace, Henley on Thames, Wallingford and Cholsey and lots of other interesting towns to discover within easy reach. You don't have to drive for long! Although there's no shop in the village, there a farm shops within a short walk (next village through the fields) or within a short drive, plus Didcot is not far away. Can't fault this cottage!"

"We had a great stay at the S86418 and Jan was very good at making sure we had everything we needed. The barns have been beautifully decorated and were very comfortable (especially the beds!) The only suggestion we would have is to put some nice toiletries in the bathrooms. Would add a final touch. Also it's a bit of a shame that the grass wasn't cut. There's isntntoo much outdoor space for kids to run around and it's quite hard to walk out on the main road with little ones so you would need a car to get out. But we would definitely be back for the pure comfort of the barn!"

"A lovely very well equipped and furnished property. A warm and comfy cottage set in an orchard with Red Kites and also deer.We could not fault a thing, and it is set in an ideal area, plenty ofNational Trust properties to visit, and a very easy train journey toOxford from Didcot staion a couple of miles away, where there is alsoa Sainsbury's and a 24hr Tesco. A gentle 1 mile walk across thefields to Blewbury and the Red Lion, or a short walk up the road to the George and Dragon. We look forward to returning and would highly recommend this property."
