"Felt mislead by location as address read as Rotherfield Greys, 2 miles to Henley and therefore reasonable walk/taxi for a meal without taking the car; house was actually in Rotherfield Peppard which is nearer 5 miles from Henley so too far to walk and expensive for a taxi. On arriving at Rotherfield Greys we couldn't find the house and went to the pub (had previously googled The Maltsters Arms as blurb stated pub within walking distance) and they couldn't help usas they didn't know the address-not surprising as in the next village! Tried to phone the owner several times but no answer as apparently away. Eventually found the house with the help of a young man who gave us directions as directions received from our booking confirmation were based on coming from the M40 and we came via the M4. Very disappointed to find no internet connection but led to understand would hopefully be connected by mid week but no sign by the time we left! My husband is a self employed electrician and likes to keep in touch with his emails. Switched the oven on one evening to heat up a dish, took the grill pan out and found a very greasy pan, cleanliness not good - had to wash a glass as 'crust' had formed around the top. Never before been asked the evening before leaving to switch off the fridge and put tea towels down as needed defrosting!! Didn't do it as we wanted cold milk for the morning! However, would have been happy to use the tea towels for that purpose as didn't use them for dishes as although I'm sure they were clean they were such a grey colour and stained that I didn't want to use so bought a new one!Over the years we have had many holiday cottages in various parts of the UK but never felt the need to complain before. Very dissappointed and feel you should check cottages."

"This property is not really suitable for a winter letting because it is terribly damp, particularly in the bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. Also, it has a lot of windows but none of them are double-glazed so there was a serious problem of condensation and the window-sills were running with water every morning. Although the accomodation is very nicely furnished with an excellent new bed and bedding, two very comfortable sofas and a huge TV with Freeview the kitchen was poor (no dishwasher or dryer and neither the fridge nor the washing machine working properly) and the all-electric heating was inadequate for the cold weather and one of the heaters broke down and was not fixed for the whole week before we left. Also, there was no Wi-Fi provided and although the Owner allowed us to connect to his network it was not possible without a Wi-Fi Extender which I had to buy myself. On the other hand I am sure this place would be very nice in the summer - and the Owner's retired race horse was lovely! "

"The cottage itself is beautiful and has been furnished to a high standard (what we have come to expect from Snaptrip!). Only a few small niggles; there are no keys for the patio doors into the garden. You can use the side door but part of the reason for picking this property was the thought of throwing open the doors in the living room and getting all cosy! Some of the kitchenware is not of great quality - the knives for example were terrible! Not a problem if you aren't planning to cook (alas we were). It wouldn't take much to bring some of these items up to the same quality as the rest of the cottage. Finally the welcome hamper looked like it had seen better days! The juice was out of date and the grapes were on the turn.Location is wonderful! Two beautiful pubs are within minutes and the food is well worth a visit (some of the best food we have eaten).Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage."

"We received a lovely welcome on arriving at Hunter's Cottage, with a local food hamper and on our first morning we met Janet, the house keeper who throughout our stay was friendly helpful and attentive. The cottage is situated in picturesque Clanfield not far from Witney and convenient for walking including along the nearby Thames Path. There are lots of gorgeous pubs and picturesque villages nearby as well as Oxford and Woodstock. A real bonus was that the cottage backs onto a field where the sheep were about to have their lambs and we were able to watch as the shepherd came by regularly to check on them. The cottage itself is stylishly designed, light, well equipped and comfortable. It was so lovely that despite all the things on offer locally to do, it was nice at times just to enjoy being there. We couldn't recommend it too highly and would definitely like to return in future."

"The most unique property we stayed in while a month in great Britain a former polo pony training facility is the location for a barn conversion loft Studio the polo center is now a large equestrian center run by a knowledgeable staff and overseen by our hosts, a London couple who reside at the Center as well as in London-really helpful, interesting people. The studio itself is equipped with ultra modern appliances, bright and spacious. Located in a very small village, it nevertheless boast three nearby pubs and is within an easy drive to larger communities with larger stores. Ideal for touring the western Cotswolds and Oxford area. Excellent WiFi, but poor cellular reception. We thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed it."
