"Lovely place, ran by great people! After the warm welcome from Kim, thorough teachings of the equipment, some hints and tips of the area and a quick walk-around, we soon discovered how great this place is. There was even fresh scones and sourdough bread waiting for us! It's all extremely well equipped, modern and well fitted - but still very warm and cosy at the same time. It's got everything you could think of needing, plus more. Kitchen is modern and clean, bathroom and shower/bath are lovely (good water pressure), the bedroom is great and the living room is good too. Comfy sofa, log burner (with enough wood!), Full freesat TV, and even the Wifi was plenty fast enough for a bit of streaming/browsing. The place was warm, clean, comfy and very well put together as whole. The only downside we could think of with respect to the facilities was that there is no full length mirror, or a large well-lit one in the bathroom - but this was being extremely fussy! The hot tub definitely needs a mention too. Was great on the cold nights star-gazing with a gin and you can even bluetooth your music to its built in speakers. It's also easy to use. I'd never been fussed about hot-tubs in the past but now it's safe to say "I get it!".The views along the front of the property are amazing. You can see for miles - all the way out to the coastline, and on a clearer day you can even see Snowdon (apparently - weather wasn't on our side really!). Lovely to wake up to every day. After the initial introduction and welcome we were also very impressed by the privacy given to us. We didn't see anyone at all (despite them being closeby) in the entire 3 night stay, yet we had easy and fast contact should we need anything.Access to the place is good too, with local amenities in Bodfari down the road (3 mins drive), and then even more in Denbigh (10mins drive) with Morrisons etc. for anything you might need.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'd very much come again should we visit the area again sometime in the near future."

"Cottage is in a quiet, off road location, yet only three minutes' drive from nearest village, where there is a decent pub (The Crown), and ten minutes' drive from Prestatyn. There are stables and horses on site, and the owners have a friendly though large dog, and cat. We received a warm welcome with milk and a lovely cake provided, and chat when we passed throughout the week. The cottage is quite spread out and felt a bit big initially for us as a couple, but we soon got used to this! The cottage does sleep four and would be plenty big enough for this size group. There is a large garden, which we didn't use but would be great for a family in the summer. It was always warm when we came in at night - great on the days it was chillier.Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Toilet did smell a bit (this may have been the septic tank) and there were one or two cobwebs. The shower floor is quite thin and moves when you are in it, and the bathroom would benefit from an extra towel rail - it didn't feel as if there was quite enough towel space for the two of us (and I think this would be more the case with four). But these are minor things, and we really enjoyed our stay and our week."

"This is an exceptional cottage with real character, the owners clearly have great taste and this is not your standard sterile holiday cottage. A real find for us dog owners who often miss out on the really classy ones! The super king sized bed is amazingly comfortable and massive with great views from the floor to ceiling windows, a treat in itself. The owners live next door but dont fear they will interfere, they are friendly, welcoming and helpful if needed but totally unobtrusive. There is a great pub just down the lane, very welcoming folk infact you are welcomed like a friend, no hostile stares here! Loggerheads country park is 1.5 miles away and lovely strolls in the woodlands and limestone cliffs. Things that may be good to know : Its in secluded location up private lane/track, can be narrow for a larger vehicle & steep-ish in places. The garden is not enclosed. The area is very hilly (stating the obvious here!) meaning all walks from the cottage are steep and you get a lot of weather! Its quite a drive to the coastal areas. Cottage well equipped and great wifi, only thing I didnt find was a hairdryer but I didnt miss it.We had a lovely stay in special cottage."

"This cottage comes highly recommended. The situation on the outskirts of a caravan park could have been off putting, but it was so quiet and comfortable that you would not have known there were caravans about. Jan Waterhouse was the perfect owner who went out of her way to see that everything was in order and if there was a problem it was corrected as quickly as possible. The cottage was very comfortable with all the amenities necessary (apart from a freezer) - the bedrooms were great, bathroom and en suite very suitable. All in all a very enjoyable place to stay. There were plenty of places to visit - the coast being close and Snowdonia practically on the doorstep. My husband being from North Wales agrees that this is one of the more beautiful parts of the country (then he is biased!!) and I thoroughly agree with him - despite being disabled I was able to drive around and see all the sights. Can't think of anything negative to say about the place, but am sure everyone who stays at the Station Cottage will have a fantastic holiday."

"We wanted a peaceful break without stress or being tied to a routine and this place delivered on so many levels. On arrival we had home made soda bread and scones, with clotted cream and jam, which were delicious and just what we needed after the 5 hour drive from London.Beehive Cottage was very clean, modern and spacious, perfect for a couple to stay in and such a good base to explore the beautiful countryside views and surrounding towns. The seaside town of Rhyl was only a 20 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, lovely in the hotter months. We utilised the hot tub at the cottage and went in it four times on our last day, it was bliss and we definitely want one in our back garden now!! The owners, Kim and Angus were lovely and made us feel very welcome, without intruding on our privacy. If you are prepared for the long drive to Wales, then you wont be disappointed once you get there. We loved it and can’t wait to return."
