A wonderful short mid-week break for myself and the dog.

The Nook was lovely and clean on arrival, and as others have mentioned there was a little gift for me and the dog when we arrived. Check in was easy, instructions to arrive were simple to follow and we had no issues finding the property. The Nook is wonderfully comfy and has everything you need to enjoy the week. We will definitely return. There were walks we could do directly from the property, but there is also so much to explore nearby. We never drove more than 30 minutes to get somewhere and had a number of places to choose from for nice dog walks. Just remember to pack your wellies or walking boots for exploring the area.

The Nook is a such a lovely place to stay.

The lodge has all the facilities I needed and was warm, clean and comfortable. It is a very dog friendly place and there is a off lead walk just opposite the house. There are also numerous great local walks. The owners were so helpful and welcoming and have gone above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. The welcome pack was also just such a lovely and generous touch. The whole place is immaculately kept and feels so well cared for. I also took trips to see Avebury, the Ridgeway, Waylands Smithy and West Kennet Long Barrow as well as Uffington White Horse, all a short drive from The Nook. Lovely stay and can’t wait to return!

Used the property whilst visiting my local in-laws.

Lovely little ‘chalet’ type timber accommodation in a relaxing and welcoming setting. Perfect for 2 for a short break to explore the local countryside. Lovely surprise to be greeted with a bottle of wine and box of chocolates upon arrival. Kept in touch (via text) with ‘Jan’, and whilst she was never intrusive or overbearing at all, she readily answered any query I had. Enjoyed talking to the resident ponies ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Tyson’ each morning and it was lovely to be able to give them their banana ‘treat’ at the start of the day. Thanks to Jan and family.

I have just stayed at the Nook for a week and it was absolutely perfect.

The owners are very friendly and extremely accommodating. We wanted somewhere quiet and that is exactly what we got. We could hear owls at night and nothing else. The Cottage itself was was stocked with everything you could need. The bed and sofa were extremely comfortable and although we had our 3 dogs with us we had plenty of space. If you're looking for a huge mansion in a town centre then this isn't for you but if you want a quiet retreat where you can relax then the Nook is perfect. I would recommend the Nook to any couple wanting to get away from everything.

Excellent place for a very relaxing holiday.

There are plenty of lovely places to discover in the nearby vicinity. It’s a quiet cottage with minimal road traffic, and the presence of farm animals such as ponies, ducts, and chickens make it a very unique experience. The cottage was in a very clean condition and contained all the basic items needed for self-catering. The owners were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable break – and it’s also perfect for a dog as there is a big green field nearby for some nice relaxing walks.
