"Would have been nice to have a little milk and coffee as we arrived late and local restaurant/pub was no longer serving, nearest Asda supermarket is about 10miles away. We left some. We also left toilet roll as only half a role in the cottage. Needs a good deep clean, windows dirty, cobwebs and dust and dog hair on furniture in living area. Hanging basket with weeds and entrance poor. View onto farm yard. Some decent garden furniture would be good and implements for cleaning and cooking on the BBQ. Dog poo in the garden from owners dog which they did remove. Wifi mostly didn’t work and no phone signal in the house. Need to drive/bike to access any ameneties, nothing within a few miles."

"As I wrote in the book "Tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and splendidly equipped. A lovely place, in a lovely setting". I would recommend it to anybody. It is so well equipped that a lot of stuff that we took was unnecessary. It is in the middle of nowhere, so very tranquil - whichever direction you take from the cottage requires 10/15 minutes driving on single-track country lanes - but ideally positioned from which to explore the whole of Cornwall. Unless you are of the hiking type, don’t expect to be able to walk to shops or a pub. Bear in mind, if you do take a dog, you are not allowed to leave it unattended at the cottage. May 2011. "

"This property is beautifully presented. The care and attention in furnishing the cottage is very evident and makes for an harmonious environment which is restful in itself. It is very comfortable and attractively set with a lovely field for dog walking or in our case, running! One very small frustration was the council's re-arrangement of the turning off and on the A30 which made some local travel a bit confusing. However, in spite of this, we had a relaxing and very enjoyable stay and it would not prevent us from returning to such a lovely place.....it thoroughly deserves its Gold Award."

"Beautiful peaceful location, property gardens very pleasant, we had our own private outdoor seating area and lawn with direct access to Bodmin Moor. Free cream tea on arrival was excellent & very welcome. Property reasonably clean and very pleasant interior and decorations. Enough room although bathroom hand basin a bit small. Owners live next door and on hand but not intrusive. Eggs available for sale. Also possible to get breakfast for next day if required in their B&B dining room. Menu available. Very enjoyable holiday with many attractions and coast within easy reach. May 2010. "

"Great location and the owners were really friendly and helpful. Cosy cottage with everything you need in it. Strangely most of the place was quite clean but the kitchen wasn’t so much. Could do with a really good deep clean. The only other concern was the cost of the electricity, which was an extra £50 for the one week despite the fact we were out quite a bit and had a log fire every night. I assume this was because of the storage heaters though we didn’t have them cranked up high. Just something to be aware of if you don’t like surprises!"
