What our customers say about their holidays

Our first observations were that the cottage was much bigger than it looks on the photos, The fire looks about a foot wide but it is actually about 2 feet wide.

The chimney pipe goes up about 3 floors before it leaves the building, it is huge in there and spectacular! It was also ready to light on arrival with extra wood. The sofa looks small and uncomfortable in the photos yet it is actually quite big and very comfortable. I am 5 ft 10 and I was laying back with the sofa at the back of my neck. Secondly the photos don't show that you actually have 2 toilets and a big double room. We were both shocked at how big the place was! A huge feature for us was the porch, which is great for taking shoes and wet clothes off before entering the cosey cottage. The cottage also has a loft area where we had a wine and enjoyed watching the wild horses gallop while we watched the sun drop behind the local mountains, best view I have ever seen in my life!!! The cottage is actually about 300+ metres above sea level so you get a lovely view. You can also see the sea in the distance if you would like a video of the view please email me at xzaros@gmail.com it is the best view I have ever had from a holiday cottage in Wales and I have been to a few now. The cottage is also very close to main roads so you can get to some big towns very easily which is great to do a big shop to save money. Morrissons, lidl, asda etc. They can be found in Bangor and caneaforn which are about 15 mins away. We found those at the end of our holiday so Google them. You will get good 4g in the cottage as the antenna is local. We spent a fortune at the local spar shops. We have 2 big huskies and they could not escape the enclosed garden and they love escaping! Finally I'd like to give a huge thank you to the owners. They welcomed us as we arrived, said hello on our 3rd day and said goodbye on our last day. Even though they live on the same land we genuinely felt like we were isolated. Please don't see the owners beings close as a bad thing, I did before I arrived but they were great! We also had some organic tea and coffee and cake waiting for us as we arrived. Thank you so much! We have been to probably around 15 properties around Wales now and this is our favourite. On a funny note my wife even said I shouldn't leave a review as we want to keep this place for ourselves. Thank you Robert and Pam We will be back very soon if you will have us! x Ryan, Charlene, Brandon and the two huskies

The cottage was lovely. The kitchen was cozy and had all the appliances we needed alongside a table that was plenty big enough for the 2 of us but you could comfortably fit 4 there. We did not use the utility room due to a leak they informed us about before we were there (being fixed!!) but it had a washing machine ironing board and hoover, etc. The living room was spacious with two comfy couches, a coffee table that we managed to fit our (massive) board games on, and a TV with freeview. They explained everything (local area, what to do with the bins and washing, etc) in a handbook which was a nice touch. Upstairs there was a small bedroom with a single bed, we did not use this as there was only the two of us but it would be fitting for a child, probably a bit small for an adult. Was a nice bedroom though with wardrobe space. The main bedroom was very comfortable and spacious, the bed itself was a perfect size. Wardrobe space was the same as the small bedroom so possibly could have been bigger but there was also a dresser so there was enough room for all our belongings on a 5 night visit. The bathroom was massive and gorgeous- the only fault would be the baths drain was not working properly. We managed to get it to work well enough for it to not bother us too much. The heating in the property was a small issue as the old gas fire (seemed unkept so we didn’t bother after a while) was difficult to work and the central heating turns itself off after an hour and a half (manually turn it back on every time). I do understand this is for health and safety and appreciate that but it is very cold, bring blankets and hoodies. Both bedrooms had lovely views of the mountains and town. Outside was lovely- it is a shame about the weather as we would have loved to sit out there! Beautiful views and the parking is fine for 1 small/medium size car (although pebbled and a pain to parallel/reverse park into). The location is stunning and the town is nice enough, couple takeaways and pubs, tesco express and a londis. Locals seemed lovely, alongside the owners. Overall beautiful experience thank you, we would love to come back!

We have just spent a wonderful week here.

We were greeted by the lovely owners Rob & Pam who live in the cottage next door. The location is wonderful just over 1000ft above sea level and apart from the mountain views you could also see the sea which I wasn’t expecting so an added bonus. The cottage is quirky benefitting from a utility/ boot room when you enter, ideal for coming in from a rainy day so you can discard wet clothes and dry off soggy dogs. It was useful to have the separate loo as well as the main bathroom one too. Shower over the bath was nice and worked well. The bedroom is warm and cosy and has a wonderful view from the picture window. The lounge/kitchen is well equipped and has all that you need. In fact we benefited from a new fan oven on the day after we arrived as the oven had broken. Pam and Rob were apologetic but we didn’t worry as we always take a curry for the first evening to save cooking, so only required the hob anyway! Dog friendly garden as secure with the gate and a bench table tucked around the side of the cottage which is a lovely sun trap. Lovely comfortable folding garden chairs were available to use and for a whole sunny day we made perfect use of them. We made use of the supermarkets in Bangor for provisions which was an easy car ride and to get into the heart of the mountains was a very short journey which was fantastic. We both enjoyed the holiday and would definitely return.

This was by far one of the best holidays I've had in a long, long time.

The property itself was beautiful and was maintained to the highest standard (having been a chambermaid in a 5 star hotel I have a tendency to score places on this criteria when I know I shouldn't haha) The owners Pam and Rob have thought of everything, absolutely everything. I have never stayed somewhere so well equipped. It was peaceful and cosy. I really appreciated being able to sleep with the window open and was not disturbed once (the frog that came to the front door every night can be forgiven) Having booked this a few months ago I had looked forward to it with only one wish, that I could take a coffee out every morning and gaze out to sea. My wish was granted tenfold. The dogs absolutely loved it too, so much freedom in the enclosed garden and so many wonderful walks nearby. I can't praise Pam and Rob enough for this gem of a holiday. I feel so relaxed now (though a little sad back here in rainy Manchester) and we will definitely be back (not as soon as I'd hoped however, but the popularity of this place just goes to show doesn't it) Visit here, you won't be disappointed. The pictures on the site are lovely but they don't do it justice.

      Wonderful place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed it. The views and sunsets are spectacular and although remote, you don't feel in any way cut off as it is so easy to get to anywhere from there. The perfect base for visiting North Wales and Anglesey and there are great walks form the cottage too. The owners are next door but, after their initial welcome, you would not know they were there unless you bumped into them. Its great when you do though as they are really lovely people. The place feels very spacious and it was lovely to be on one level as your stay requires little effort. We toured in the day and ate in every night as it was such a nice place to relax in the evenings. The place generally has a happy and calming vibe about it. The utility is extremely handy when you have dogs, boots etc and the extra toilet is a bonus. What we particularly liked was the enclosed garden area. It was so nice to pull up and unload or get set to go out knowing the dogs were fine in the garden. No worry of being near roads or them wandering off. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in this area.
