Beudy Hywel is a well-loved cottage in North Wales, praised for its idyllic location, cosy comfort, and excellent facilities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts and a dog-friendly environment. The property offers stunning views, a peaceful setting, and is deemed perfect for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding areas.
The cottage is generally described as clean and tidy, with a few isolated comments on minor cleanliness issues such as cobwebs and utensils needing a wash. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to local attractions, and peaceful setting. It is considered ideal for exploring Snowdonia, Anglesey, and the North Wales coast.
Most guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with a few noting the softness of the mattress and sofa. However, the overall sentiment is that the property provides a relaxing stay.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the property being well-equipped for self-catering and providing extra amenities like WiFi. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but they do not significantly detract from the overall experience.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures, such as welcome packs for both humans and dogs, fresh flowers, and wine. While these are highly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
Llanrug 1 mile. A delightful, detached barn conversion, set in its own 1/2 acre of rough paddock, on a secluded part of the owners' land on their sheep farm, one mile from the village of Llanrug, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in scenic North Wales. This charming single-storey Llanrug cottage has been superbly renovated to offer light, airy and spacious accommodation, with an entrance hall that leads to an open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The living area boasts a galleried ceiling, revealing exposed oak beams, plus an inglenook fireplace houses a remote controlled feature fire, and there is the added bonus of a corner sofa, which converts into a double bed. A door leads through into a small dressing room and then into the king-size double bedroom with stylish en-suite bathroom. Outside this Snowdonia cottage is a pleasant patio and lawned garden, which has a 'canal' water feature and provides an ideal place for enjoying a meal or cold drink on a sunny evening. Herb and rockery gardens are also in the grounds, and guests have access to a paddock area where elevated views towards Snowdon Mountain can be seen. This Llanrug cottage is approached via a private gravel track across sheep fields, which gives it a great feeling of isolation, however, you're only a 5-minute walk from the local village pub. An outstanding Snowdonia cottage surrounded by countryside walks, ideal for romantic getaways or activity weekends whenever you wish.
The small village of Llanrug has two pubs, two shops and a Post Office. Llanrug is situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, and is only three miles from Llanberis.
