"The keeper of the cottage was easily accessible. The furnishings were very interesting. There was a very extensive library. The house was very damp and cool but the dampness was to be expected because of the age of the cottage and the proximity to the sea. We had an issue getting the heat on.The house was in need of a better cleaning noted especially in the cupboards and the shower unit. It was nice that they left extra towels in the closet because with a large family a few extra were nice to have. The back garden was a bit overgrown and could have had some tending to. I noticed that someone said the house exactly as seen in the picture that is true but the things I mentioned were not in the picture."

"We had a perfect weekend getaway. The place is full of Georgian elegance, and - although it is not far from the main roads and very easily accessible, the atmosphere is very peaceful in the charming historic village centre of Farningham. S50181was comfortably set up with every detail attended to and, in spite of its high ceilings, warm and cosy. The area has so many things to do for all weathers; although it was a wet weekend we were not short of enjoyable activities - lots of National Trust and other (dry!) places of interest nearby, as well as some stunning countryside - and we were able to relax in front of the wonderful open fire at the end of the day. We'd happily return!"

"Nice house that is well positioned close to the sea front and the High St. Bedrooms on 1st floor are pleasant and airy and were very clean. Main bathroom is good but shower in 2nd bathroom is tatty and hot water stops if run elsewhere in the house. Lounge and front room very dusty and over furnished, leaving little room. We had great weather so wasn't an issue but if you had to spend more time inside then would have been a concern. Pleasant garden with good quality furniture. None of the downstairs sash windows open which isn't good."

"Really enjoyed staying the flat. Very well appointed with large front windows and great views over the sea (sunrise well worth getting up for!). All mod cons and great sunny patio at the back. 10 min walk into Margate one way and long walks along the prom the other. Well situated for getting to other areas, ie: Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Whitstable, Canterbury and the beaches. The new out of town shopping centre was also a nice surprise on the one rainy day we had! Will recommend."

"Absolutely the most elegant accommodations ever! Top quality and every desire was considered. The gardens were spectacular. Best of all were the delightful hosts who went out of their way to assist us. We stayed here for 5 nights without a car and loved all the walking opportunities as well as participating in village activities. S50181is very peaceful and although major roadways are nearby, the noise doesn't intrude. Photos do not do this justice...it is beautiful!"
