On the North Foreland Lighthouse site above Broadstairs, this delightful cottage features entrance hall, fully fitted kitchen, sitting room, dining room, bathroom, double bedroom and single bedroom with full size bed and comfortable pull-out bed.

Khina is one of two holiday cottages available at the lighthouse, which lies on the chalk headland above the charming and unspoilt seaside town of Broadstairs at the far eastern tip of Kent. Both cottages are very child friendly, surrounded by spacious lawned grounds and set well away from cliffs. The holiday cottages have shared use of a very large, one-acre lawned garden and patio with ample space to sit out.
The earliest reference to a light on North Foreland was given in a deed dated 1499 and, at that time, it was almost certain that the beacon was used to warn of attack or piracy rather than as an aid to navigation. The lighthouse does not have a fog signal.

Khina cottage welcomes up to two well-behaved, supervised dogs (small additional charge), however please be aware this site is not enclosed and has direct access to a road.

Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.
Guests are reminded they are renting a heritage building, therefore certain features such as steps, stairs and floor levels may not comply with that of a modern building. As such, we would advise guests to acquaint themselves with the premises on arrival and exercise caution accordingly.
Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
A barbecue is not provided, however guests are welcome to bring their own, subject to adhering to the safety precautions set out in the arrival information.

Clean and comfortable cottage on a secure site with plenty of outdoor space and parking. Well equipped with lots of hot water and good quality fittings. Ideal for two adults and up to two children with a fenced outdoor area. Great for a dog. The second bedroom has a good single bed for maybe a third adult but it has a truckle bed underneath which is suitable for children but not really big enough for another adult. Nice views and interesting lighthouse which seems to be closed to the public. Beaches within walking distance and the coastal path is good for longer walks to Ramsgate or Margate. Plenty of sand on the beaches and basic amenities in Broadstairs.

Fabulous location with sea views from all the rooms. The cottage had modern furnishings, was well equipped and was lovely and clean. Warm and cosy over a chilly new year's weekend.
