What our customers say about their holidays

A warm welcome was given, lovely gift of jam tea biscuits fudge and carton fresh milk in fridge thank you so much, Could do with instructions for cooker, etc.

Never used induction hob beforedo u call it?,didn’t find hairdryer and shaver socket till day before return home. For me personally I found bed too high, sofa too low for elderly visitors like ourselves and struggled to get on bed and off sofa. The ramp was great as my walking very limited, walk in shower great, high rise loo great. But the lodge itself is beautiful and more than I expected, really enjoyed the largeness of it as we had an extremely wet week and was so glad of space. Loved watching squirrel and pheasant beautiful surroundings, loved the floor to ceiling windows felt very much outside amazing, thank you so much we so hope to return, amazing stay thank you

Our stay was ruined by the inadequate description of the property, which clearly suggested that the pool was included in the price of the stay, and that other attractions were additional charges, which is understandable.

When we got there, it turned out that everything was included in the price and nothing was included in the price of the stay. This information should have been clearly stated in the description. If it had been, we would never have chosen this property. In addition, we found the property in a poor condition, dirty and smelly. For this price you can rent a beautiful caravan in Haven or another holiday park with full access to the pools and still have £200 in your pocket. Don't be fooled like we were, and Sykes washed his hands of it. We are completely disappointed because we thought we were good customers of Sykes. Oh well, never again! I do not recommend!

Lovely accommodation, very clean and a step-up from many others we have stayed in of this style with ensuite bathroom, king size bed, walk-in wardrobe, dishwasher, larger beds (suit teenagers) and fantastic hot tub.

Great location for exploring both the north and the south coast. If you have teenagers and/or are keen cyclists, I would recommend hiring bikes and spending the day cycling the coast to coast trail (old mine tram tracks from Portreath to Devoran) which is on the doorstep. Scenery is stunning and my boys loved it! Body boarding in Porthtowan and Perranporth is a must too. Would have given 5 stars but owner is busy working hard, finishing building other lodges surrounding this one so a little bit of building work happening in front of lodge (was not noisy though), otherwise view over mining valley is quite pretty.

      Overall extremely good.

Very modern and well appointed. Excellent facilities, although no better than I would expect for the price. The super king en suite bedrooms are fabulous albeit slightly cramped. I would describe Beech as slightly more functional than comfortable and let down by the excessive creaking of floorboards, particularly noticeable at night, and very poorly designed dishwasher. The staff are very personable and reactive. The lodge was extremely cold when we arrived but, after we commented, they quickly turned up the heating for us and it was fine after a couple of days.

Fantastic convenient location with easy access to explore the whole of Cornwall.

Spacious accommodation, we had 4 adults & didn't feel we were on top of each other at all. Welcome gifts & milk, coffee, soap etc was very welcomed. Only issue we couldn't find a hair dryer (went & bought one) The table outside was a waste of space as unable to sit & eat or play cards as the heater in the centre took up all the room, however it had no gas so we couldn't even toast smores. The work on the new lodges didn't impact us, although perhaps a belt to keep up his shorts may be an idea!!!! Will definitely be booking again
