This cute log cabin sits within 2.5 acres of lush gardens just a mile from Stithians village and 7 miles from Falmouth. Tucked away in the grounds of the owners home it will appeal to couples looking for a romantic getaway. The wood clad interior has been cleverly designed with a truly comfortable sitting room with squashy sofas ready to snuggle up together. The dining area opens to a functional kitchen with an electric 2 ring hob built into a small freestanding oven. There is a double bedroom and shower room with walk-in shower and WC. Stylish furnishings and fabrics blend cleverly with the outside environment to create a warm, inviting ambience. Enjoy the beautiful views over open countryside from the pretty patio and garden, where you can relax with a chilled drink on the benches dotted around or dine alfresco in the sunshine. The villages of Stithians, Perranwell and Ponsanooth are nearby with shops, inns and restaurants. The Seven Stars pub in Stithians serves good pub food and local beer, and is a short drive or 20 minute walk from the property. Falmouth is just 7 miles away, a vibrant town with vast harbour, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Hop on a boat trip from the town quay to take in the spectacle from the water or to visit St Mawes and Truro by boat. Stithians has a small Post Office/store, a fish and chip shop and a pub which serves good food. When you wish to explore there are many country walks, one of which will take you to Stithians Lake, popular for watersports, angling and birdwatching, where you can sample the local ale and excellent fare at The Golden Lion Inn, within a few miles of the bustling maritime resort of Falmouth.

Nice quiet area and ideal for sightseeing on either coast. The property was very clean and well maintained and equipped. We did not give the top marks only because my wife found the cooker a little to high for her to see what was cooking in the pans and a little awkward to control the temperature of the rings. This was just our findings and probably ok for most people. We would still highly recommend and will to our friends. We would like to thank Claire and James for a very pleasant week break. Great garden and a lovely touch the flowers and coffee. Thank you again Pat and Peter

Cabin was lovely too. Large and beautiful garden. Loved the donkey sanctuary very close by.

Being October the weather was variable but didnât impede our stay. The owners were very friendly, we live in Australia so we will recommend The Pond Cabin to those of our friends who intend to have a holiday in the UK.
