It was lovely and quiet and peaceful during our stay at the lodge.
It was Modern and very well presented and spacious. The lodge is situated in such beautiful surroundings. It has a well equipped kitchen with everything you need and an ample size fridge and freezer where we cooked some lovely evening meals. There is a large Tesco not far away for anything you may need. We had an evening meal in the on-site restaurant which was excellent. You need to book in advance. If you like a takeaway they're available locally too. The site is an ideal base for seeing what the area has to offer. We had beautiful weather for September and we found so much to do during our stay. Ingleton waterfalls trail was a wonderful day out and definitely worthy of a visit but be prepared for a lot of walking to get round one of the routes, but it's so worth it. The waterfalls are stunning. Crazy golf at Greenlands was fun and less than 5 mins drive from the site. Warton Crag Local Nature Reserve is less than 10 mins away. Rspb Leighton moss is less than 15 mins drive. Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is just over 5 mins drive away and is a fabulous place to visit. There is so much to see both inside and outside. There are organised talks throughout the day and the staff were very knowledgeable. The snow leopards were a real treat to see. Lancaster Castle is around 20 minutes drive. We booked onto a tour which was very good. Morecambe Bay is just 20 mins drive also. We also took a boat ride tour from Windemere Lake visiting Ambleside and stopped off at the Windermere Jetty Museum which has a cafe and was lovely to sit outside taking in the glorious views. We also booked an extra small boat trip at the jetty museum, with personal guides which was excellent. The Lakeland motor museum was fabulous. There was so much to see, with gorgeous homecooked food and treats in the cafe too! We had a wonderful time at the lodge and have booked our next visit!

This is a beautiful 3 bedroom Lodge .
Very spacious for a family get together . I took my mum too and she loved it, Facilities provided are 5 star everything you need . The furnishings are Immaculate, it is cosy , warm even for a winter break . The lodge is situated 2nd row back from the lake . The lake can be seen from the lounge and dining windows Easy access to entrance and exit of the Leisure village . There is a charge for the use of swimming pool Gym , leisure facilities . I thought was a little expensive for a swim only . The bar and restaurant on site is lovely beautiful lake view . Excellent local places to eat are a short drive away . We enjoyed The Longlands restaurant and The Royal , Bolton Le sands only 5-10 minute drive . Even shorter drive to Booths Aldi and Tesco . No supermarket on site . Key safe is easy to use . We had a problem with the Front door sticking . I rang Sykes and a Maintenance man arrived within the hour to fix it . Very Happy with our stay , we enjoyed 3 nights and will definitely recommend . We enjoyed a wonderful week at Gressingham 7.
If, like me, you struggle to find the key safe on arrival, it is attached to the wooden fencing, a short way along from the door. The glass balcony gave us fabulous views of the birds on the lake. We spotted coots, grebes and a heron besides the more common (but very entertaining) ducks, swans and geese. The outdoor furniture was a little different (better Iâd say) than the photos - still the sofa in the background but the table had 6 chairs for enjoying outdoor meals and the 2 loungers had been replaced with comfy chairs. The weather was unusually hot and the lodge did get rather warm, even with lots of doors and windows open. Maybe a fan could be added to the already extensive array of equipment provided to help with this (admittedly rare) occurrence. The kitchen is well equipped with good, sharp knives - always a bonus. The TV sound is activated by pressing the top left hand corner of the controller on the wall to the right of the TV. The bedrooms have comfy beds and the whole lodge has lots of storage. Weâd love to stay again!

We spent 6 wonderful nights with our family at Waternook Lodge, and the experience was unforgettable!
Everything was perfect, from start to finish. The lodge is extremely welcoming, warm, and beautifully decorated, offering a sense of comfort and relaxation. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook delicious meals every day â from utensils to modern and high-quality appliances. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, which greatly contributed to our overall comfort. The entire location has a pleasant and inviting atmosphere, and the area where the lodge is situated is absolutely stunning â perfect for disconnecting from the daily hustle and enjoying nature. We had an amazing time and a dream vacation! I wholeheartedly recommend Waternook Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful and high-quality holiday. We will definitely return!

Lovely lodge which is well appointed.
Very roomy great space for everyone. Loved the open plan aspect it was light and airy. Good facilities in the lodge and it was very comfortable. Also a great swimming pool on the site. Great base for the lakes, Morecambe, Arnside etc. The site is well maintained and gardens and lake lovely. Would stay again. The only thing I would mention ( mentioned by other people who stayed in the lodge too) The sofa cushions need either re stuffing or foam underneath the cushions they are a bit difficult to negotiate but itâs a minor point. Beautiful lodge we had a lovely stay
