The Stables was well set up for our weeks stay with 3 adults and our medium sized dog. The garden is well secured to ensure our furry friend was able to roam with no chance of escape, and had loads of space to wander, sniff and get to know the sheep, lambs and friendly donkeys. The outdoor decking area with comfy seats was an excellent place to relax after a long day exploring, before we made use of the hot tub just as the sun was setting. There is a sea view from there if the weather is kind. For star gazers, the garden is a brilliant spot to see a full dark sky experience with the naked eye, just a shame we missed the Aurora which was visible across the UK on the night we had departed. The rooms were a good size, and had very comfy beds. The bathroom with separate shower or bath options was also a decent size. The only thing to be aware of is the stairs down between the various levels, as the property has been adapted brilliantly from what were previously disconnected stables and animal shelters. This was an excellent base for us to explore the coasts of North Wales and Anglesey, as well as allowing easy access into the heart of Snowdonia. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and gave us all a very warm welcome. The tip to visit Nant Gwrtheyrn (The Lost Village) near Nefyn was one we would never have thought of and well worth the trip down the very steep road. There is a car park with café right in the village so no need to park at the top, but take care in wet and winter, as getting back out the 25% gradient would be difficult. Nefyn beach is also well worth a visit at the right tide times. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in Pwllheli as well as a good sized beach for the dog if needed. We would highly recommend this property which is suitable for 4 adults and a pet, and is at the standard to be expected for this price range. We spent a week at this wonderful house and are now thinking about when we can go back!
After spending many fabulous holidays in Sykes accommodation and lots of times in Wales, this has been the best we've stayed in (and it was up against some tough competition). The house is simply gorgeous. Very private and secluded but only a short distance from Ruthin which has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars etc so you get peace and quiet but are close enough to all you could need too. The owner couldn't have been nicer and the hamper on arrival was a wonderful welcome touch that far surpasses any we've ever had before. Having the horses for neighbours, a huge hot tub in a wonderful garden, just as well equipped outside as in, was amazing. Inside the rooms are very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped, with a stunning kitchen which would be wonderful in any home. Only thing missing was a phone signal (which we knew about as it's in the listing) but in my opinion actually improves things. Good WiFi so not out of touch but no phone signal was a good excuse to have a bit of a holiday from the phone too. We loved this house, in case that's not already obvious lol, and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay!
We stayed as a group of (mature) friends over the New Year Right from the start the farmhouse owner Richard was most helpful. On arriving we were blown away with the house the quality was of a high standard and spotlessly clean It had everything you could think of and more! It was spacious, as a group it never felt crowded. The large lounge was great for all to gather with a huge sofa ,TV and wood burner The house had been decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. There was a lovely welcome basket and information pack. We visited the local pub one evening, itâs about a 15/20 min walk. The food was nice and plentiful and the staff were friendly. Thereâs a little shop attached to the pub where they sell local produce ( bacon was fab). Both run by the community ! There are a few forest walks a short drive away! Which I would highly recommend doing! Ruthin has all the shops you need (4 miles from the house) Would we book again? Absolutely canât wait! Thank you again Richard & family

Absolutely amazing. I am tempted to give Camlad Barn a poor review, only in the hope others don’t book and it is more available for my wife and I to return but that would be unfair and selfish. The setting of the property is outstanding with amazing views. It was immaculately clean and is equipped with everything that you would need. A large outdoor area to relax in with a lovely enclosed garden, pretty sitting area, separate allocated parking and hot tub which again, was immaculate and cleaned daily. The inside of the property is both spacious and very stylishly decorated and furnished. All the staff we came in contact with were incredibly friendly and gave excellent advise of local places to visit of which are many. If you want a fast paced, stressed, busy holiday with lots of people, vehicles and buildings this is not for you. If you want the absolute opposite, it is perfect. I can not recommend Camlad Barn enough and we cannot wait to go back. Oh, our 14 year old collie absolutely loved it as well.

We've just returned from a family weekend away and we were so impressed with this beautiful house!
It was so clean and cared for, beautifully presented with a lovely welcome box on arrival with all the need to knows and some treats to get the holiday started! It is sat within amazing grounds, the Horses in the field next to the gardens are extremely friendly and enjoyed an apple of two from the apple tree! Then you have the three sheep who are super cute bounding over to say hello! The owner came over to show us some good walking routes and even let my daughter feed the sheep a little treat, great touch!! The hot tub was nice and warm when we got there which was appreciated! There are two living rooms with fires, they warmed the whole house, it was so cosy! There are board games available in the big lounge, the kitchen comes with all the equipment and space you need and then some! Before we left we were already talking about coming back! A huge thank you for making our stay so comfortable, looking forward to coming back! If you haven't already get this place booked, you will not regret it!
