**Review of Waterside Cottage, Malpas, Cornwall** Our stay at Waterside Cottage in Malpas was overall a delightful experience.
The cottage itself is beautifully set up, offering a cozy and well-thought-out space that perfectly complements its idyllic location. The terrace is a standout feature, providing a perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. The layout of the cottage is well-designed for its size. We appreciated the small spare room, which served as a peaceful retreat for reading and unwinding. The presence of a separate changing area/closet off the bathroom was also a thoughtful touch, adding to the convenience and comfort of the space. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the wood burner adds a warm and inviting ambiance, especially in the evenings. The cottage also offers a good internet connection and a small smart TV, which were appreciated for staying connected and enjoying a bit of entertainment. The new bathroom, complete with underfloor heating, was a lovely modern addition to the cottage, enhancing our comfort during the stay. Additionally, key collection and access to the property were straightforward and hassle-free. However, there were a few aspects that could be improved. Parking in the village was a challenge at times, and on one occasion, we had to drop off our luggage and park outside the village. While this was manageable, it's something future guests should be aware of. We also felt that the cottage could benefit from a more thorough cleaning regimen before guest arrivals. Certain areas were a bit dusty, and there were quite a few spiders and cobwebs throughout the property. Addressing these issues would elevate the experience to match the otherwise high standard of the cottage. Despite these minor drawbacks, it's clear that the owners have taken great care in creating a beautiful and welcoming space for visitors. We had a lovely stay and would recommend Waterside Cottage for anyone looking to enjoy the charm and tranquility of Malpas, Cornwall.

We booked a 2 week stay at "Armando" based on it's location and how good it looked on the Sykes website.
We were so pleased with our choice. "Armando" is set in a lovely, quiet location but only a couple of minutes off the A39. The house is high spec and was really well presented. Easy off road parking with simple entry and exit to the house. We had no problems during our stay but Keith & Linda , the owners, were only a text away in the event of any issues. We also received a very informative email from Keith a few days in advance. Location is second to none. Falmouth and Truro are only around 15 minutes away. Other favourites of ours, Padstow, Fowey, Mevagissey and Looe are all within easy reach. Very dog friendly, with some nice local walks, our Cockerpoo, Barney, found it to be a home from home. We definitely recommend "Armando" and would readily return in the future. We give "Armando" a well deserved 10/10. It was the best holiday rental we have stayed in. Many thanks to Keith and Linda for a great holiday. John & Annette

We had a great stay, the property was extremely clean and tidy.
Well organised key collection and all in all it was an easy and lovely place to stay. In the middle of all the attractions, however, far enough away for it to not feel touristy. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need and more. It was an outstanding property. We even had a text from the owners checking in which was a lovely touch, thank you! The only tips I would give would be; to make the garden area nicer for guests to spent time in, a washing line to hang towels and swim wear, Option for bed guards for the single beds as they were exceptionally high for our two children. And the mattress on the king size bed could really do with being replaced for a firmer mattress. Thank you for a great holiday to Cornwall and the added welcome hamper

Lynda & Andy were excellent hosts.
Chycoose is modern, bright and has all the amenities you need. The kitchen is well stocked, washing machine huge help as we were there for two weeks. The shower room is great, so spacious and power of water was fantastic. WiFi worked well. Heating when we needed. Our hosts made sure we had everything. We were lucky with weather so sat outside a few times and went for walks in the large garden. Follow the hosts directions. SatNav will get you there but the hostâs directions take you through the wider roads. It is a short 10-15 minute drive to almost everywhere so very well located. Truro has everything you need, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Chycoose was a great choice for us. Loved the place and would recommend.

This is a really nice lodge and well placed for visiting all major areas and towns in Cornwall.
Whist we really enjoyed the stay and coped without too much trouble, we feel some facilities and provision of kitchen utensils are sadly lacking. Our main issue was the freezer did not work at all when we arrived and all our efforts to get it operational did not work, but we just managed without and did not report it to anyone during the stay. In addition there are very limited cooking utensils for a self catering lodge, not even a bread knife in the kitchen. A few simple additions in the kitchen and provision of shower mats and towel holders in the bathroom and en-suite would be a major improvement, and ensuring all major kitchen appliances are operational prior to guests arriving should be a must. Regards, Gerard & Christine Kehoe
