Letâs start with the pros- great location and stunning views.
Large spacious bedrooms and overall spacious property. Cons- Cleanliness is far from satisfactory. I will usually keep my shoes off inside my home, but with this property my socks were so filthy after removing shoes, I kept them on downstairs. Cobwebs everywhere and dust etc. The house felt grubby and unkept. I asked Sykes for the beds to all be made up as doubles, they had not done this and denied I had ever called. I have the call log as proof of this. We then had to go out and buy a double sheet to do this ourselves. In terms of crockery, staying over Christmas especially, meant we had to go out and buy more pans etc, No wine glasses and 1 Prosecco flute. The only glasses provided were short tumblers, not even big enough for a decent glass of squash. Very poorly stocked kitchen. There is only a slimline dishwasher which isnât great for this size of property, however as there are only 7 large plates, 7 bowls,7 side plates, 7 forks, 7 knives etc then the slimline works fine and is just used multiple times a day. More crockery and a larger dishwasher would be more cost effective. There is no washing machine or dryer, though there is a gap in the units in which they could be placed, instead this just makes the kitchen look unfinished with a gap showing a void, where there is no skirting and just gaps to the brick wall. Fridge space is limited with 1/3 fridge and 2/3 freezer, poorly thought out for a holiday let. Large bedrooms but only a hanging rail and no wardrobes, no drawers in which to put away clothes. For weekend stays, this wouldnât be an issue but those staying longer may want to unpack. 2 large bathrooms but only one 800mm by 800mm shower cubicle for 7 persons, the first floor bathroom could accommodate a shower over the bath and the ground floor would have benefited from a larger shower, my 9 month pregnant daughter could barely fit through the gap due to the corner opening doors. There was also no mirror in this bathroom. When using the toilet on the ground floor it is not fixed securely to the floor and moves from side to side. The external steps are extremely slippery and dangerous and one of our party fell down the first flight. They really need to be maintained in terms of jet washing off the algae. For the final straw, all rubbish is required to be removed from the property. With a 6 hour drive ahead and Christmas rubbish from 7 people this made for a very stressful morning hunting around locally for bins that could take the rubbish. We would have never been able to fit that amount of rubbish into the car, nor would it have been a very pleasant drive home to do so. Day before departure, I was keen to give the place a hoover and found a Henry with no accessories, just a hose, so was unable to do so. Would be a good idea to provide guests with this option. I asked the owner if they were elsewhere in the property and was advised to use the dustpan and brush. On the final morning whilst opening the oven the handle came away in my hand. I contacted the owner who asked me to ask the neighbour for a screwdriver to fix it myself, I had already checked out by this point. Staying in multiple properties over the years at Christmas I would have at least expected a tree to be up, this was disappointing but more of a nice to have. Overall great house with great potential but felt very unloved, dirty and little thought to the holiday let useage.

âThe house is a beautiful sanctuary" It is warm and inviting and has everything you could need for a great family stay.
We particularly appreciated: -The space â Disney Package - Good wi-fi - beautiful bedrooms - large bathrooms - Cleaning Products - Board games - Washer and dryer. The house is beautifully furnished and the Master Suite with dressing room and double shower is enviable! The whole house was spotlessly clean. The sofa was very comfy and all beds were comfy. The hot tub was enjoyed daily and was great after a day out. From the back of the house there are incredible view of the sea and the sunsets were awesome. The garden was child friendly. We recommend: - SC2 for the Water Park and Ninja Tag â Prestatyn Beach for walks and amazing coffees from the Nova Centre â Roziâs award winning Indian Restaurant for takeaway - food was awesome and cost around £50 for enough of a feast for 4 adults and 3 children. The Zip World was so much fun and FFOREST Activity Centre for High Ropes, The Plummet, Tree Hoppers. I wanted to do paddleboarding and there is a place in Rhyl but the sea was a little cold for me. The Dyserth Waterfall was worth a walk up and also the North Wales Garden Centre had a great selection of plants and gifts â well worth a visit We would suggest new pillows for beds as they are so thin and large serving spoons and casserole dishes. A nice coffee machine would make my mornings better. Our host Kayleigh responded promptly to any queries during our stay. Do we recommend - Oh yes. Will we be back - For sure.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at The Mount.
Stunning property in a great location. The master bedroom is just amazing with a view of the sea from the balcony. The games room (complete with a pool/air hockey table and an arcade machine!!) and the hot tub were a massive hit with everybody. The kitchen is stunning and huge!! And the garden/patio area is absolutely perfect. My children, nephews and niece played out there all week on the trampoline and played with the football on the huge lawn. Weâre all sad to be home. Thereâs some great places nearby to visit, we had plenty to entertain everybody all week. We visited a few different beaches (Prestatyn, Rhyl, Talacre and Colwyn Bay), Dyserth Falls, Tir Prince Market, and The Welsh Mountain Zoo. Thereâs plenty of shops nearby too. Itâs a shame the indoor water park in Rhyl is closed for maintenance for the summer as this looked fun. The only small suggestion I would make is that there was a tv in each bedroom. Only 2 of the 4 bedrooms had a tv. This is obviously just personal preference and wasnât much of an issue, just that all the kids would have liked to watch a film at night in bed. Weâve had such an amazing time and would 100% return in the future!

Beautiful property with wonderful views.
Upon opening the front door, we realised we had arrived home and were visualising our own belongings in the house. It was spacious, clean and had a good feel to it. Our girls had already moved in, by dressing their room with toys, crafts and cuddly teddies. There is an easy stroll to local shops, pubs and a children's play area, which was very handy. There are steep steps up to the property, but if my mum can handle it, so can you, and my mum could trip over fresh air. The front garden was nicely kept, so much so, we released our newly emerged butterflies, where they enjoyed the juicy plum trees. To the rear there is a lovely patio area where we stayed most evenings. There could be a mirror in the downstairs bathroom or a washing machine to wash all those dirty clothes, but that's just picky, it was a truly awesome holiday and although we had fun on our day trips (yes, I'm now skint) I really loved coming back 'home' at the end of the day. I would recommend staying at this property and we will be coming back again soon.

Lovely house, very clean, It is quite step intensive, but this is in the description, My 75 year old mother, found it a little hard going, but did manage with her stick.
We did find the kitchen lacking a few essential items, like scissors, and deep sided oven doses and baking trays, but we managed to improvise. And the small glass patio table, for a Kitchen table? Which only fits 4 people, the house sleeps 7, It feels like the house was rushed to get out on the holiday market, but isnât quite there. But the main issue for us is the beds. The mattresses are very uncomfortable, when you move about you can hear and feel the bed springs moving, most of us never really got a descent nights sleep at all, and the lack of furniture in my bedroom especially ( small top bedroom) was a challenge. But itâs ok cause every room had a massive chair in it, which is just what you need, rather than a chest of drawers, or a wardrobe. All that said, itâs a lovely house, and with a bit more thought, it could be spot on. Oh yes, an extra shower over the bath would be a good idea too, one shower between 7 people just isnât enough.
