What our customers say about their holidays

What a beautiful house to spend your holiday in.

Swn y mor had everything you needed and more, Anthony and Andrea have done a fantastic job setting up this house into a fabulous holiday home. The house was very clean and tidy on arrival with a nice welcome pack, which was very much appreciated. The kitchen is very modern and has many gadgets. The house has very comfortable beds and is very peaceful. Our dog Jess loved the huge very secure garden and could play for ages with no fear of her being able to get out.The great thing it's perfect for dogs, just at the bottom of the road is a wonderful beach, and on the other side is a big park land which is also dog friendly. The town of Burry port has everything you need,a good supermarket and nice shops, plenty of takeaways to suit every taste, best of all try out the Portobello pub you won't believe the prices, there is also a very good train station with a very good service and also many buses,so you can get around without using the car.We were very lucky coming in November we had a fantastic time with beautiful weather. All in all a fantastic house and place for a great holiday, only one small fault could do with a calender in the kitchen very handy when cooking pasta and rice. We had a great holiday and would highly recommend Swn y mor to family and friends and we are already planning to come again. Thank you again Anthony and Andrea.

      Great Gower location.

Panoramic views of the Loughour Estaury to your right, Cefn Bryn and then Oxwich to your left. Watch the sunset over the Estuary from the front patio. Listen to the peace, cuckoos in the forest and inhale fresh air. Gwyneth is the best host and it’s totally dog friendly. Lots to do nearly by - Rhossili, Three Cliffs, Llanmadoc, Oxwich, Port Eynon and Horton bay, Mumbles, Gelli Hir Woods is a nice quiet walk nearby if you have dogs. Always watch the high tide times if you venture out for a long walk at Three Cliffs or if you want to attempt the causeway on Worms Head. Cottage has everything you will need for your Gower escape. Local shops not too far away. The Ship Inn Port Eynon and the Britannia Pub in Llanmadoc are dog friendly. The King Arthur Hotel do nice food but dog friendly outside only. All in all, Gwyneth is a fabulous host and it’s a lovely quiet location to get away from it all and explore the outstanding beauty of the Gower Peninsula with your four legged friend. Have a great trip

When we were travelling to the property, we received a unique, very courteous and welcoming message from the owners which we were very impressed by.

Many holiday homes have white towels and bedding but this was not the case here. The effect of this for us was a homely feeling where the owners have been very thoughtful in their choice of furnishings and ornaments. Everything was practical, though, so we felt very relaxed here and very comfortable too. Mrs was scurrying around looking for brand names on lighting, curtains and even mattresses! This has not happened before in 25 years of holiday homes! There was not one thing we could not find which we wanted. This is also unusual in our experience. We like to cook and normally we find we are short of a sharp knife or something. Also, there was more than usual by way of towels, bedding, cleaning materials and so on. Nice neighbours and lots of walking from the doorstep. We understand the owners wish this holiday let to be extra special and, in our view, it is.

Gwynfryn was a lovely tastefully renovated house, with all the comforts of home.

The kitchen was well equipped with up to date appliances and plenty of cooking utensils and crockery. Three TVs with Sky included, an unexpected bonus. Comfy beds, ample bedding and two bathrooms. The garden still needs a bit of attention but I'm sure this will eventually be up to the same standard as the rest of the property. We have been holidaying in self catering accommodation for many many years and this is definitely one of the best. Cannot recommend it enough. The village of Penclawd is very well positioned for touring the Gower peninsula. It has a very well equipped supermarket, two butchers, two pubs (only one serves food), hairdressers, fish and chip shop and Indian takeaway plus a brand new children's playground. There are beautiful views over the estuary and walks along it.

The location and views are staggering.

You can see Swansea bay from one side of the cottage and llanrhidian sands towards Llanelli from the other. Just to add more the views over the gower and the open farmland can be seen on the two sides you can’t see the sea. The Stall is clean and tidy with all the facilities you expect from modern holiday cottages. There is even a freezer for you to store your gower gelato ice cream or Joes if you choose Locally they cariad cafe in nearby penclawdd serves brilliant breakfast with the thickest cut bacon you have ever seen. Oh and they are next to GG’s where you can buy the icecream The owner and family are a credit to the holiday industry nothing is to much effort and she is so enthusiastic about the local area. We will be back
